The present invention comprises a device and method that reduces the appearance of inter-monitor seams by optically magnifying display areas on each side of a seam such that they appear to extend beyond the display area of a monitor so as to give the visual appearance of extending to the outside edge of each monitor's frame. In one embodiment, the invention comprises a clear longitudinal magnifying strip comprising a generally bi-semicircular cross section that is mounted across an inter-monitor seam. In one embodiment, the invention comprises a video processor that adjusts the image displayed on a monitor to compensate for the visual distortion caused by the magnifying strip.

IMAGE PROJECTION SYSTEM, IMAGE PROJECTION DEVICE, AND IMAGE PROJECTION METHOD

In an image projection system, a computing device generates conversion information for converting camera coordinates used by an imaging device and projector coordinates used by an image projection device based on a positional relationship between a projection pattern image and an imaging pattern image, the imaging device images a subject including a person, the computing device detects a first position indicating a position related to the camera coordinates in a specific region in the person, the computing device converts information on the first position into information on a second position indicating a position related to the projector coordinates in the specific region based on the conversion information, and the image projection device projects a warning image for overlapping with an entire region of the specific region based on the information on the second position.

METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR GENERATING A THREE-DIMENSIONAL RECONSTRUCTION OF AN OBJECT WITH REDUCED DISTORTION
20200074698 · 2020-03-05 · ·

Methods, systems, and computer readable media for generating a three-dimensional reconstruction of an object with reduced distortion are described. In some aspects, a system includes at least two image sensors, at least two projectors, and a processor. Each image sensor is configured to capture one or more images of an object. Each projector is configured to illuminate the object with an associated optical pattern and from a different perspective. The processor is configured to perform the acts of receiving, from each image sensor, for each projector, images of the object illuminated with the associated optical pattern and generating, from the received images, a three-dimensional reconstruction of the object. The three-dimensional reconstruction has reduced distortion due to the received images of the object being generated when each projector illuminates the object with an associated optical pattern from the different perspective.
