The tension in the portion of the veil that spans between the connection to the rear portion of the frame and to the rim provides support for the rim, and the front portion of the veil extends beyond and drapes downward from the rim. The head garment is usable with a ventilation system and/or an electronic device and may be folded for stowing in a container.
THERMOREGULATORY IMPACT RESISTANT MATERIAL
The present invention relates to a protective material which is used in a wearable article to enhance thermal regulation of the user, provide protection to the user by means of pressure and energy absorption, and acts as a platform for technologies (such as sensors) that increase performance and function when worn by the user. The protective, thermoregulatory impact resistant material includes a mesh material which has layers of woven yarn connected together between layers, and having an overall pattern. The mesh material is knitted as a layered three-dimensional fabric, where the layers are interconnected by spacer yarn. The mesh material provides both evaporative cooling, and acts as an insulating barrier, and its properties can be controlled by an openness, thickness, or tightness of the weave of the yarn, or a distance between the layers. The mesh material can be worn under protective clothing and equipment.
HOOD LOCK CORD SYSTEM
An apparel item having a cord lock for restricting the movement of a hood on an article of apparel. The cord lock may have a first end, a second end, and an intervening portion. The cord lock may be positioned on an outer-facing surface of a back panel of the apparel item proximate to a neckline area of the apparel item.
ARTICLES OF APPAREL INCLUDING AUXETIC MATERIALS
An article of apparel includes at least one panel including a first edge and an opposing second edge. The at least one panel includes an auxetic structure defining a primary elongation direction and a secondary elongation direction. A plurality of lace coupling pairs are positioned along the first edge and the second edge of the at least one panel. Each lace coupling pair defines a lace pull direction that is perpendicular to a line extending through two adjacent lace couplings of the lace coupling pair. Each lace pull direction is defined by the plurality of lace couplings substantially in alignment with either the primary elongation direction or the secondary elongation direction of the auxetic structure between the two adjacent lace couplings of the lace coupling pair.
Bandanna
A bandanna is provided that includes a generally square piece of material defining a first, second, third, and fourth corner. A first diametric axis bisects the first and second corners and a second diametric axis bisects the third and fourth corners. The material defines a first pair of diametrically opposed openings respectively at the first and second corner. The material is configured to be folded about the second diametric axis into a triangle to align the openings of the first pair of openings. The material is configured to interconnect at least one of the third and fourth corners with the first and second corners through the first pair of openings. The openings may be formed as elongated slits, which may extend along or parallel to the first diametric axis. The material may have at least one region for displaying indicia, including at least one of sports related graphics, non-sports related graphics, and corporate logos.
Novelty apparel with multiple attached conformable selectable indicia
A novelty apparel includes multiple attached conformable, selectable and viewable occupational role playing indicia. A baseball cap includes a dome shaped crown of compound curves and a forward facing sun visor brim portion, a transparent window in a central front face portion of the dome shaped crown, where the window displays a single indicium selectable from a number of different indicia carried on a display surface conformable to said dome shaped crown. The selected indicium is displayed centered above the brim. The display surface conforms to the curved interior of the dome shaped crown, wherein the baseball cap does not deviate substantially from the look of a typical baseball cap with a single permanent indicium.
