Sterilization apparatus
The present invention provides a sterilization apparatus. The sterilization apparatus comprises a sterilant extractor configured to extract a sterilant using an auxiliary needle from a sterilant cartridge disposed inside or outside a sterilization chamber and a sterilant supplier configured to receive the sterilant extracted through the auxiliary needle, to vaporize the sterilant through a vaporizer, and to provide the vaporized sterilant to the sterilization chamber or a vacuum pouch disposed inside the sterilization chamber through a main needle.
Device and method for folding an instrument set in a package
Device for folding an instrument tray into a packaging material, comprising a supporting surface for supporting the instrument tray during folding of the instrument tray into the packaging material, a first folding plate and a second folding plate, a movable folding aid for fixing the packaging material over a predefined line portion before and/or during the making of a fold, at least one movable clamp for gripping and moving the packaging material, a control unit for controlling the movement of the first folding plate between its respective first and second positions, the movement of the second folding plate between its respective first and second positions, the movement of the folding aid, and the movement and clamping and release of the at least one clamp.
Fluid temperature control system
Described herein is a system for heating and/or cooling a fluid that includes a temperature forcing device having a bottom plate and a top plate hingedly coupled to the bottom plate. At least one of the bottom plate and the top plate has a recess or other area for receiving at least one flexible fluid holder (e.g., a polymer bag). The bottom plate and/or top plate also has at least one protrusion and/or recession in its interior wall(s) such that a fluid passageway in the flexible fluid holder is defined when the fluid holder is placed between the top and bottom plates, and the plates are closed together. The fluid holder then has a fluid inlet for receiving the fluid to be heated and/or cooled and a fluid outlet for delivering the fluid. The fluid, upon being heated and/or cooled by the temperature forcing device, may then be delivered to a patient or may be delivered to another system component, e.g., for additional heating/cooling.
Process of Manufacturing a Stable, Ready to Use Infusion Bag for an Oxidation Sensitive Formulation
A process for minimizing formation of a highest degradation product during moist heat sterilization of a drug solution of an oxidation susceptible active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) is provided, wherein the water is not deoxygenated and a nitrogen blanket is not used during formulation, or the formulation is stored in ambient conditions in the polymer bag and autoclaved. The highest degradation product in the parenteral drug product is less than 0.1% by weight of a labeled amount of the oxidation susceptible API in the parenteral drug product.
Sterilization wrap system
The present invention comprises a sterilizing wrap system comprising a base having a support surface and a first sealing surface spaced from the support surface, the support surface supports at least one object requiring sterilization. A wrap is sized to engage the first sealing surface of the base to define a volume encompassing the support surface and the spaced first sealing surface of the base. A first seal maintains a sealed interface between the wrap and the first sealing surface.
Device for sterilization of flexible bags and method for sterilizing flexible bags
A device is for sterilization by electron beam irradiation of flexible bags, in particular flexible bags of the type that can contain solutions of human plasma proteins for therapeutic use. A sterilization method includes irradiating flexible bags by electron beam irradiation. An in-line method for filling flexible can use the sterilization device and method.
STERILIZATION PACKAGING FOR STERILE PRODUCTS, HAVING A SENSOR DEVICE, AND STERILIZATION METHOD WITH ACTIVE STERILIZATION PROCESS ADAPTATION
A sterilization packaging includes an interior space for receiving medical packaged goods and a sensor unit adapted to measure a first parameter in the interior space. The packaging has a data transmission unit for receiving and transmitting parameter values measured by the sensor unit. The packaging and data transmission unit are matched to one another to allow transmission of parameter values received by the data transmission unit into an outer space around the packaging. A sterilization method includes: introducing packaged goods into packaging and closing the packaging; introducing the closed packaging into a receiving chamber of a sterilizer; starting a sterilization process flow in the sterilizer; detecting parameter values in the packaging and transmitting the parameter values to a control unit of the sterilizer; and controlling the sterilization process flow as a function of the parameter values.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR SANITIZING CURRENCY
A system and method for sanitizing currency is provided. The system generally comprises a container, control board, switch, power supply, heating elements, temperature probe, and charging ports. Currency is inserted into the system via an entrance, and the control board provides power to the heating elements from the power supply to increase the temperature within the internal cavity of the container. The temperature probe assists the control board and heating element to maintain a desired temperature for a desired length of time in order to kill pathogens that may be living on the currency. A switch on the container may be used to complete a circuit of control board and initiate a cleaning cycle when the entrance is closed by a user.
Non-Contact Sanitizing Products and Elements
The invention describes a simple to use, affordable, sustainable, and safe decontamination product that combines a sealed container that efficiently decontaminates the surface of a potentially contaminated product placed in the container. Upon removal of the potentially exposed article from the container, the volatile disinfectant evaporates from the surface of the article rendering the article in full compliance for use.
METHOD FOR STERILIZING FLEXIBLE BAGS
A sterilization method includes irradiating flexible bags, in particular, bags of the type that can contain solutions of human plasma proteins for therapeutic use. The sterilization method includes electron beam irradiation. An in-line method for filling flexible bags of the type that can contain solutions of human plasma proteins for therapeutic use can use the sterilization method.
