Aseptic filling machine and aseptic filling method
11667505 · 2023-06-06 · ·

An aseptic filling machine capable of performing molding and filling at the same time that has a compact facility size, requires a reduced initial investment, requires a reduced running cost because of its simplified process, and ensures an aseptic condition with reliability, and an aseptic filling method therefor. An aseptic filling machine includes a pre-heating sterilizing portion that sterilizes a preform, a heating portion that heats the sterilized preform, a molding and filling portion that fills the heated preform with a sterilized content under high pressure, thereby molding the preform into a bottle and at the same time filling the preform with the content, and a sealing portion that seals the bottle filled with the content. Before the aseptic filling machine starts operating, each portion is sterilized. During operation of the aseptic filling machine, aseptic air is supplied to each portion to maintain the aseptic condition.

Applicators for applying transcutaneous analyte sensors and associated methods of manufacture

Applicators for applying an on-skin assembly to skin of a host and methods of their use and/or manufacture are provided. An applicator includes an insertion assembly configured to insert at least a portion of the on-skin assembly into the skin of the host, a housing configured to house the insertion assembly, the housing comprising an aperture through which the on-skin assembly can pass, an actuation member configured to, upon activation, cause the insertion assembly to insert at least the portion of the on-skin assembly into the skin of the host, and a sealing element configured to provide a sterile barrier and a vapor barrier between an internal environment of the housing and an external environment of the housing.

INDIVIDUAL VESSEL UTILIZED FOR CLEANING, LUBRICATING AND STERILIZING DEVICES FOR HEAT STERILIZER
20170282224 · 2017-10-05 ·

A two-piece sterilizable vessel is sealed together containing devices and a solution that cleans and/or lubricates devices during heat sterilization. When placed inside a heat sterilizer, the vessel becomes pressurized and isolates the solution from the sterilizer's environment. This vessel has two parts: a base and a top.

The base has an internal calibrated reservoir to measure the amount of solution within the vessel.

The base's external dimensions, larger than the top, creates a lengthwise tilt of the vessel when placed on a flat surface. The top is positioned lower than the base. The purpose of the tilt is to allow the solution to flow from the reservoir to the vessel's top. This solution immerses the mechanics of the device.

After sterilization is completed, the pressure relief valve in the vessel's top is activated to release the pressure within the vessel.

Fabric Sterilization Tote Apparatus and Related Methods

A liquid dispenser for containing and dispensing a sanitizing liquid is described that comprises a container body defining a container chamber in fluid communication with both a dispenser port and a fill port. The fluid dispenser comprises an atomizer operably connected to the dispenser port and a cover operably connectable to the container body and movable between a cover-open position in which the fill port is exposed and a cover-closed position in which the fill port is covered.

Catheter tray, packaging system, instruction insert, and associated methods

A tray (100) for accommodating a coiled medical device, such as a catheter assembly (700), includes a first compartment (101), a second compartment (102), and a third compartment (103). The catheter assembly (700) and devices associated with a catheterization procedure, such as syringes (701,702) containing sterile water and lubricating jelly and a specimen container (703) can be disposed within the tray. Printed instructions (1001) can be included with the tray (100). One or more layers of wrap material (2200) can be folded about the tray (100) to enclose the tray (100) and other items, such as an additional layer of wrap material (2701), packaged liquid hand sanitizer (2401), and packaged gloves (2402). When a health care services provider (3101) unfolds the wrap material, the same can be used to create a sterile field beneath a patient (3201).

SEAL FOR FILTERED VENT IN A STERILIZATION CONTAINER
20170239381 · 2017-08-24 ·

A container (10) used for sterilizing medical instruments and the like has a sealed filtered vent. A wall or a lid of the container has a vent area formed by a plurality of holes (12) that pass therethrough. The vent area is surrounded by a convex ridge (16) on an outside surface of the container, with a corresponding concave recess (26) on an opposing inside surface. A web of filter material (36) is sized and adapted to cover the vent area and overlie the concave recess. A cover plate (37) is generally planar, with a vent area formed by a plurality of holes (38) that pass through the cover plate. This vent area is surrounded by a convex ridge (43) that is sized and adapted to correspond to the concave recess of the sterilization container. An elastomeric gasket (127) with outwardly-projecting ridges is secured to at least the convex ridge of the cover plate. A means for mounting the cover plate over the vent area of the container secures the filter material between the container vent area and the cover plate.
