Methods and apparatus, including computer program products, are provided for remote monitoring. In some example implementations, there is provided a method. The method may include receiving, at a remote monitor, a notification message representative of an event detected, by a server, from analyte sensor data obtained from a receiver monitoring an analyte state of a host; presenting, at the remote monitor, the notification message to activate the remote monitor, wherein the remote monitor is configured by the server to receive the notification message to augment the receiver monitoring of the analyte state of the host; accessing, by the remote monitor, the server, in response to the presenting of the notification message; and receiving, in response to the accessing, information including at least the analyte sensor data. A monitoring and response system is provided for monitoring and responding to environmental conditions at one or more sites. The monitoring system includes a plurality of base units, each base unit including at least a processor and a plurality of sensors configured to monitor environmental conditions at the site(s). A central controller is in communication with the base processors at the plurality of base units and is configured to receive and process sensor information from the base units. Base units are configured to be modular and contain customizable, swappable combinations of sensors, sensor arrays, and/or other connected peripherals, and are further configured to be mountable and/or attachable to a wide variety of surfaces and objects disposed around a site such as a construction site. The system further comprises a backend, analytic system for making predictions, taking action, and generating reports responsive to the information received from the base units.

There is disclosed a telemetry monitoring system including a central monitoring unit configured to display data regarding one or more portable devices, each associated with the breathing apparatus of a user. The system further includes removable data storage connected to the central monitoring unit and configured to store system status data of the central monitoring unit as recovery data, the system status data defining an operational status of the central monitoring unit. In the event of a failure of the telemetry monitoring system, the telemetry monitoring system can be recovered by restoring the recovery data to the central monitoring unit or a replacement central monitoring unit from the removable data storage.

A monitoring and response system is provided for monitoring and responding to environmental conditions at one or more sites. The monitoring system includes a plurality of base units, each base unit including at least a processor and a plurality of sensors configured to monitor environmental conditions at the site(s). A central controller is in communication with the base processors at the plurality of base units and is configured to receive and process sensor information from the base units. A device may be configured to process messages from a plurality of input devices. The messages may be received on a first communication link and may be processed for being transmitted on a second communication link. The device may receive messages comprising data on the first communication link from the plurality of input devices. The data from the input devices may be aggregated and transmitted in at least one message on the second communication link.
