The present invention offers compositions and methods of infusing antibacterial and antiviral polyethlyenimine compounds into materials conventionally used for medical devices and medical tools, including such materials as vinyl, polyvinylchloride, latex, rubber, silicone and plastic materials, and thereby enhancing the safety and antiviral properties of such medical equipment.
Sanitary Napkin
A sanitary napkin, towel, or pad having one or more of Manuka honey, Tourmaline powder, Jade powder, Amethyst powder, or silver applied to or sewn into a layer of the napkin.
WOUND DRESSINGS AND METHODS
A wound dressing, a method for treating a wound subject, a use of a wound dressing, and a wound dressing kit. The wound dressing comprises a pressure dressing, a moisture control core, and a substrate comprising an antimicrobial agent, the substrate in fluid communication with at least a portion of the moisture control core.
NUCLEATED CELL PRESERVATION BY LYOPHILIZATION
The invention provides freeze-dried nucleated cells, a method for preparing them, and methods of using them for in vitro assays and in vivo therapeutic treatments. The method for preparing the cells includes incubating cells in the presence of a cryoprotective sugar to load them with the sugar, then lyophilizing them without separating the cells from the cryoprotective sugar. In embodiments, the cells are also loaded with one or more bioactive agents.
Antimicrobial and antiviral hygienic products
The present invention relates to hygienic products such as sanitary pads and tampons, patient/adult diapers and baby diapers which are made antimicrobial. In the present invention, a mixture of glucopon, chlorhexidine gluconate and triclosan is obtained from the boron compounds called sodium borate, zinc borate, sodium perborate tetrahydrate, borax pentahydrate and disodium octaborate tetrahydrate; and this mixture provides antifungal, anticandidal, antibacterial and antiviral properties to the woven or non-woven textile products and hygienic products. Additionally, the said hygienic products are made hydrophilic by means of the invention.
POLYETHERIMIDE COMPOSITIONS FOR IMPLANTABLE MEDICAL DEVICES AND SPACERS THEREOF
Devices prepared from polyetherimide resins are disclosed. In one aspect, the article can be a medical device configured for use in a body.
Chitosan foam medical devices and methods
The invention provides a solid foam wound dressing useful for hemorrhage control and wound repair, as well as methods for making such a wound dressing.
Use of polyurethane material in the preparation of latex product
The present application discloses the use of a polyurethane material in the preparation of a latex product, wherein the polyurethane material comprises a waterborne polyurethane and nano-silver. The polyurethane material of the present application is made of a combination of a waterborne polyurethane and nano-silver, which gives rise to the said latex products not only having a broad spectrum of antimicrobial activity including inactivating HIV-1 and HSV, but also having the ability to inactivate the microorganism in a short time.
Biofouling resistant coatings and methods of making and using the same
Disclosed herein are compositions to use in biofouling-resistant coatings, biofouling-resistant coatings, methods of making biofouling-resistant coatings, biofouling-resistant devices, and methods of making biofouling-resistant devices.
Biocidal textile support
The biocidal textile support includes bronopol in the dry state present on the surface of the support and having a contact biocidal action, the bronopol being linked to the support by a photo-crosslinkable or photo-polymerizable binder, and its use as an element of a device for protecting against biological risks. A biocidal suit or garment and a mask, preferably antibacterial or antiviral, including such a biocidal support, are also described.
