The valve island has a main part in which at least one fluid flow duct is formed. The main part is produced by additive manufacturing or injection molding. The hydraulic assembly includes a support on which at least one valve island is arranged directly or indirectly.
Blood purifying device including plasma separation and purification filters
A filter for purifying blood (1, 100), comprising a container body (2, 102) in which there are: —an intake port (3, 103) for an incoming blood stream (4, 104), —a first discharge port (5, 105) for an outgoing blood stream (6, 106), and —a second discharge port (7, 107) for a purified plasma stream (8, 108); the container body (2, 102) comprises first filtering means (9, 109) adapted to separate a stream of plasma to be purified (10, 100) from the incoming blood stream (4, 104), and second filtering means (11, 111) adapted to purify the stream of plasma to be purified (10, 110) to obtain the purified plasma stream (8, 108).
HEMODIALYSIS SYSTEM INCLUDING CONTINUOUS GLUCOSE MONITORING
Systems and method for monitoring the blood glucose concentration of a patient during a hemodialysis session and automated administration of a medication in response to the glucose concentration falling outside a specified range. The system includes a hemodialysis system and a glucose sensor. The hemodialysis system includes a control system, at least one medication infusion pump, and a dialyzer fluidly connectable to a venous patient line and an arterial patient line. The glucose sensor is in communication with the control system and positioned to continuously measure the blood glucose concentration of the patient during the hemodialysis session. The control system can be programmed to provide automated administration of medication by the at least one medication infusion pump in response to changes in the blood glucose concentration of the patent during the hemodialysis session.
Blood treatment systems and methods
Dialysis systems comprising actuators that cooperate to perform dialysis functions and sensors that cooperate to monitor dialysis functions are disclosed. According to one aspect, such a hemodialysis system comprises a user interface model layer, a therapy layer, below the user interface model layer, and a machine layer below the therapy layer. The user interface model layer is configured to manage the state of a graphical user interface and receive inputs from a graphical user interface. The therapy layer is configured to run state machines that generate therapy commands based at least in part on the inputs from the graphical user interface. The machine layer is configured to provide commands for the actuators based on the therapy commands.
PHOSPHATE ADSORBING AGENT FOR BLOOD PROCESSING, BLOOD PROCESSING SYSTEM AND BLOOD PROCESSING METHOD
The present invention relates to a phosphate adsorbing agent for blood processing comprising a porous formed article comprising an organic polymer resin and an inorganic ion adsorbent and having the most frequent pore size of 0.08 to 0.70 μm measured with a mercury porosimeter. The present invention also relates to a blood processing system and a blood processing method involving the phosphate adsorbing agent for blood processing.
DIALYSIS MACHINE FOR CARRYING OUT A PUSH/PULL DIALYSIS TREATMENT
The invention relates to a dialysis machine having a fluid system that has an inflow line for providing fresh dialyzing solution to a dialyzer and an outflow line for removing used dialyzing solution from the dialyzer, wherein the fluid system has a balancing system arranged between the inflow and outflow lines to balance the fluid volumes flowing through the lines, and wherein the fluid system has an ultrafiltration line that branches off from the outflow line between the dialyzer and the balancing system and has an ultrafiltration pump to be able to remove a defined volume of used dialyzing solution from the balance, and wherein an additional balancing chamber is provided that is arranged in a section of the inflow line disposed between the balancing system and the dialyzer or in a section of the outflow line disposed between the dialyzer and the branching of the ultrafiltration line.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING OXYGENATOR
An oxygenator has a plurality of porous hollow fiber membranes comprising polypropylene for gas exchange, wherein each hollow fiber membrane has an inner surface that forms a lumen and an outer surface. The oxygenator is manufactured using a method which involves preparing a coating solution containing at least one compound selected from the group consisting of dopamine, salt of dopamine, and oligomer of dopamine; and bringing the inner surface or the outer surface of the hollow fiber membranes into contact with the coating solution for less than ten hours while blowing oxygen gas in the coating solution to form a dopamine polymer layer containing a polymer of the compound on the inner surface or the outer surface.
Hemofilter for in vivo blood filtration
Hemofilters for in vivo filtration of blood are disclosed. The hemofilters disclosed herein provide an optimal flow of blood through the filtration channels while maintaining a pressure gradient across the filtration channel walls to enhance filtration and minimize turbulence and stagnation of blood in the hemofilter.
