Wireless charging system for hearing instruments

A facility is provided for the wireless resonant charging of rechargeable hearing instruments. The hearing instrument is freely positionable in a charging device for charging purposes. The charging device for the wireless charging has a transmit antenna arrangement, a transmit amplifier for actuating the transmit antenna arrangement and a charging space. The transmit antenna arrangement has two feeding points, which are spatially arranged in relation to the charging space such that a circularly polarized electromagnetic field can thus be generated in the charging space. The transmit amplifier actuates the antennas accordingly to generate a circularly polarized electromagnetic field in the charging space. In the process a coil arrangement generates a circularly polarized HF field. A good resonant coupling, even with a tilted hearing instrument, is possible, in other words with an undetermined and unpredictable orientation and position of the receive coil of the hearing instrument.

A middle ear implant system includes a bone conduction transducer configured for fixed attachment to skull bone of a patient beneath the skin behind the ear, and for generating sound vibrations from an external communications signal received through the skin for coupling to the skull bone for bone conduction sound perception by the patient. A malleable ossicle connector is connected to the bone conduction transducer and a middle ear hearing structure of the patient. And one or more isolation springs are configured for placement at the fixed attachment of the bone conduction transducer to the skull bone to acoustically decouple the bone conduction transducer from the skull bone to avoid bone conduction sound perception so that sound perception from the external communications signal is solely via the middle ear sound perception from vibrations coupled to the middle ear hearing structure by the ossicle connector.

LOUDSPEAKER MODULE FOR A HEARING DEVICE, AND HEARING DEVICE

A loudspeaker module for a hearing device has a loudspeaker, which has a loudspeaker diaphragm and a drive for the loudspeaker diaphragm, and a housing, in which the loudspeaker is arranged. Furthermore, the loudspeaker module contains an antenna unit, which has an antenna coil having a coil axis, a tubular coil core, which forms a sound channel, and an antenna base plate, in which a sound passage opening that opens into the sound channel is formed. The antenna coil, the coil core and the antenna base plate in this case prescribe an antenna characteristic of the antenna unit. The side wall of the housing on the diaphragm side is in this case formed by the antenna base plate.

Hearing aid for placement in a user's ear canal

A hearing aid for placement in an ear canal of a user, includes: a shell; a faceplate comprising an upper face, and a lower face, and a circumference, the upper face being exposed when the shell is placed in an ear of the user; a coil arranged at the faceplate; and a button arrangement comprising a plunger configured to control an integrated circuit arranged below the coil, the coil comprising one or more windings, the one or more windings being circumferential of an inner cavity of the coil with respect to a center or longitudinal axis of the coil, the button arrangement being configured such that the plunger in at least one position extends through the inner cavity of the coil for engaging the integrated circuit.

An apparatus includes a receiver and a controller. The receiver receives a wireless stream with ongoing bursts that are transmitted at recurring periodic intervals. Each burst comprising one or more data packets. The controller controls the receiver to, when the wireless stream is lost for at least a specified quantity of intervals, search for the bursts during each interval, at a successive one of multiple equally-spaced sub-intervals of each interval.

Apparatus and method for outputting sound in mobile terminal

An apparatus and method for outputting a sound with Hearing Aids Compatibility (HAC) in a mobile terminal. The sound output apparatus includes a modem chip including a first amplifier amplifying and transferring an electric signal to a switch, a switch that selectively connects an output line of the first amplifier to a receiver or a second amplifier, a second amplifier connected with the receiver and the switch and that amplifies and transfers an electric signal received from the first amplifier to the receiver when the switch connects the output line of the first amplifier to the second amplifier, and a receiver connected with the switch and the second amplifier and that converts and outputs an electric signal received from the first amplifier or the second amplifier into a sound. This allows for the stable transfer of a sound to hearing handicapped persons with HAC without distortion of the sound quality.
