METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR VISUALIZING AUDIO PROPERTIES OF OBJECTS
In one implementation, a method of playing audio is performed at a device including one or more processors coupled to non-transitory memory. The method includes playing audio associated with an object at a frequency-dependent volume based on a distance between a user location and an object location, an object orientation with respect to the user location, and the frequency-dependent three-dimensional audio emission pattern. In various implementations, methods of visualizing the frequency-dependent three-dimensional audio emission pattern and changing properties thereof are disclosed.
Calibration interface
Examples disclosed herein relate to playback device calibration. A calibration state variable may represent a calibration state of a playback device. A control device may display an indications of the calibration state. For instance, in a first instance, the control device may display an indication that a first playback device is in an uncalibrated state. Further, in a second instance, the control device may display an indication that the first playback device is in an calibrated state, perhaps after instructing the first playback device to initiate calibration.
MEDIA PLAYBACK BASED ON SENSOR DATA
Example techniques relate to playback based on acoustic signals in a system including a first network device and a second network device. A first network device may detect a presence of a user using a camera and/or infrared sensors. The first network device sends, in response to detecting the presence of the user, a particular signal via the first network interface. The second network device receives data corresponding to the particular signal and plays back an audio output corresponding to the particular signal.
LOAD CONTROL SYSTEM HAVING AUDIO OUTPUT DEVICES
A control system may comprise a plurality of audio output devices (e.g., controllable speakers), and a remote control device having at least one button for selecting a preset, where the preset defines different commands for at least two of the audio output devices. The at least two audio output devices may be configured to be controlled according to the different commands (e.g., starting, pausing, or stopping playback, adjusting volume, etc.) in response to an actuation of the button of the remote control device. The control system may also comprise a load control device, such as a dimmer configured to control an intensity of a lighting load to a predetermined intensity in response to the actuation of the button of the remote control device to select the preset. The audio output device may be configured to play a feedback signal indicating an operational characteristic of the dimmer.
Updating Playback Device Configuration Information Based on Calibration Data
An example computing device is configured to perform functions including receiving calibration data corresponding respectively to a plurality of playback devices, where each playback device in the plurality of playback devices is located in a respective playback environment other than a first playback environment. The functions also include receiving playback device characteristic data respectively indicating at least one playback device characteristic for each playback device of the plurality of playback devices. The functions also include, based on at least the calibration data and the playback device characteristic data, determining updated playback device configuration information and transmitting data indicating the updated playback device configuration information to a given playback device located in the first environment.
A LIGHTING DEVICE
The invention provides a lighting device for determining and conveying an intelligibility of an audio signal, wherein the audio signal comprises a plurality of occurrences of a repeating audio feature, wherein each occurrence of the repeating audio feature comprises a respective value of an acoustic characteristic, wherein the lighting device comprises: a light source; a microphone for detecting the audio signal; a processor configured to: receive the audio signal from the microphone, determine a baseline value based on said audio signal, determine a positive intelligibility of the audio signal if the last occurrence of the repeating audio feature comprises a respective value of the acoustic characteristic being at least equal to the baseline value, or determine a negative intelligibility of the audio signal if the last occurrence of the repeating audio feature comprises a respective value of the acoustic characteristic being less than the baseline value, and control the light source to convey the determined positive and/or negative intelligibility of the audio signal via a lighting characteristic.
CONTROL METHOD, CONTROL SYSTEM, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
In a control method of controlling a frequency response of a filter for processing an audio signal, the frequency response is defined by an amplitude characteristic and a phase characteristic. The control method includes: acquiring a target amplitude characteristic, a target phase characteristic, and a latency value; obtaining a first frequency response in accordance with the target amplitude characteristic and the target phase characteristic; obtaining a second frequency response by modifying the first frequency response so that a latency of the second frequency response satisfies the latency value; and obtaining a third frequency response to be set for the filter by correcting the second frequency response, the second frequency response being corrected so as to reduce a difference between (i) an amplitude characteristic of the second frequency response and (ii) the target amplitude characteristic.
Web control with real-time content analysis
The present disclosure describes a client-based web control system for analyzing and filtering web content received at a user device and presenting the filtered content on the user device in real-time, one or more operations and functions being efficiently achieved via this system comprise: receiving, at a user device, web content; identifying, at the user device, at least one model for classifying the web content; performing, at the user device, real-time analysis on the web content using the at least one model to classify the web content and determine a classification result; and taking an action on the web content at the user device based on the classification result. The present disclosure also describes the web control system including a cloud server, which, in conjunction with the user device, analyzes and classifies the web content.
Adjusting Volume Levels
In general, user interfaces for controlling a plurality of multimedia players in groups are disclosed. According to one aspect of the present invention, a user interface is provided to allow a user to group some of the players according to a theme or scene, where each of the players is located in a zone. When the scene is activated, the players in the scene react in a synchronized manner. For example, the players in the scene are all caused to play a multimedia source or music in a playlist, wherein the multimedia source may be located anywhere on a network. The user interface is further configured to illustrate graphically a size of a group, the larger the group appears relatively, the more plays there are in the group.
