The present disclosure discloses a hearing aid device. The hearing aid device may comprise at least one sound transmitter configured to collect a sound signal and convert the sound signal into an electrical signal, a signal processing circuit configured to generate a control signal by processing the electrical signal, at least one vibration loudspeaker configured to convert the control signal into a vibration signal, and a housing structure configured to accommodate at least one of the at least one sound transmitter, the signal processing circuit, or the at least one vibration loudspeaker, wherein the control signal may include an original signal and an air-conducted sound leakage signal generated from the at least one vibration loudspeaker, and a difference between the air-conducted sound leakage signal received by the at least one sound transmitter and the original signal may not be larger than −33 dB.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR HEARING ASSESSMENT AND AUDIO ADJUSTMENT

An audio system for user hearing assessment includes one or more audio capture devices, and processing circuitry. The one or more audio capture devices are configured to capture audio of a conversation of a user and convert the audio to audio signals. The processing circuitry is configured to use the audio signals to identify multiple conditions associated with user hearing difficulty. The conditions include any of words, phrases, frequencies, or phonemes, and environmental audio conditions that are followed by an indication of user hearing difficulty. The processing circuitry is configured to generate a hearing profile for the user based on the identified conditions associated with user hearing difficulty. The processing circuitry is configured to adjust an operation of an audio output device using the hearing profile to reduce a frequency of user hearing difficulty if the user requires audio enhancement.

A hearing device, a hearing system and a method for improving a hearing impaired person's ability to perceptually separate a target sound from competing sounds, the target sound and the competing sounds forming a composite sound signal having a given frequency range, where the method comprises the steps of: (i) subdividing the frequency range of the composite sound signal into a plurality of frequency sub-bands; (ii) grouping frequency sub-bands based on comparable characteristics of the plurality of frequency sub-bands; (iii) for each of the groups calculating a group envelope; and (iv) multiplying the signal in the frequency sub-bands of each individual group by a function or functions that enhance(s) peaks of the group envelope and/or attenuates energy in troughs in the group envelope. The comparable characteristics may be the correlation between the envelope of each of the bands in the specific group of frequency sub-bands and the corresponding group envelope.

Methods, hearing systems and neural networks for audio signal processing are described. A hearing system comprises a neural network. An input audio signal is processed into an output audio signal at least partially by means of a processing unit of the hearing system. The audio signal processing of the input audio signal includes executing audio signal processing by the neural network for performing a step of the audio signal processing, determining a confidence parameter resembling the reliability of the audio signal processing by the neural network and steering the audio signal processing in dependence of the confidence parameter. A particularly suitable neural network is configured to solve a regression-based acoustic processing task and additionally determining the confidence parameter.

A hearing system comprises a) at least one hearing device adapted for being worn on the head, or fully or partially implanted in the head, of a user, and b) a multitude of external, spatially separated, audio transmitters, each providing respective external electric sound signals comprising audio. The hearing system is configured to allow wireless communication, including audio communication, between the hearing device and the external audio transmitters, at least from the external audio transmitters to the at least one hearing device, to be established. The at least one hearing device comprises A) a multitude of microphones, each providing an electric input signal representative of sound; B) a beamformer filter providing a beamformed signal from the multitude of electric input signals; and C) an output unit configured to provide stimuli perceivable by the user as sound. The hearing system further comprises c) a selector/mixer for selecting and possibly mixing one or more of the electric input signals or the beamformed signal from the hearing device and the external electric signals from the audio transmitters and to provide a current input sound signal based thereon intended for being presented to the user, possibly in a further processed form. The selector/mixer is controlled by a source selection control signal provided by a source selection processor. The source selection processor is configured to determine the source selection control signal in dependence of a comparison of the beamformed signal and the external electric sound signals or processed versions thereof. A hearing device, and a method of operating a hearing system is further disclosed. The invention may e.g. be used in hearing aids, headsets, active ear protection devices, headphones, etc.

AUDIO TRANSMISSION SYSTEM AND AUDIO PROCESSING METHOD THEREOF

An audio transmission system and an audio processing method thereof are disclosed. The audio transmission system includes a wireless communication module, a sound receiving module, a memory module, a sound adjustment module, and an output module. The wireless communication module is used for receiving a wireless communication signal or a wireless audio signal from an electronic device. The sound receiving module is used for receiving an ambient sound signal. The memory module stores a first parameter, a second parameter, and a third parameter. The sound adjustment module adjusts the received wireless communication signal, the wireless audio signal, or the ambient sound signal according to the first parameter, the second parameter, or the third parameter so as to generate an adjusted sound signal. The output module is used for outputting the adjusted sound signal.
