ELECTRONIC DEVICE FOR AUDIO, AND METHOD FOR MANAGING POWER IN ELECTRONIC DEVICE FOR AUDIO
An electronic device may include: a communication circuit; and a processor operatively connected to the communication circuit. The processor may be configured to generate a communication link to a first electronic device for audio by using the communication circuit, and when identifying a first state in which the remaining battery capacity of the electronic device for audio is smaller than the remaining battery capacity of the first electronic device for audio, and a difference between the remaining battery capacity of the electronic device for audio and the remaining battery capacity of the first electronic device for audio is greater than or equal to a threshold value, change a master role from the electronic device for audio to the first electronic device for audio. Various other embodiments may be provided.
Multi-microphone Headset
An audio device includes one or more earcups, at least one of the earcups including a boom connector port, a connection detector connected to the boom connector port and configured to detect a connection state at the boom connector port, one or more first microphones positioned in the one or more earcups, audio processing circuitry, and a microphone switch controller connected to the connection detector and configured to connect audio processing circuitry to one of the one or more first microphones or the boom connector port based on the detected connection state of the boom connector port.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR DETECTING A LOAD
Circuitry for detecting a capacitive load coupled between a first node and a second node, the circuitry comprising: drive circuitry for applying a first voltage to a first node over a first time period; processing circuitry configured to: measure a second voltage at the first node; and determine that the load is a capacitive load based on the second voltage.
HEADPHONE-ONLY AUDIO OPTIONS
An example computing device is provided. The computing device includes an interface to connect to a headphone and a processor communicatively coupled to the interface. The processor is to execute an application to hos an audio call, determine a headphone-only audio option is enabled for the application, detect that the headphone is connected to the interface, and allow a participant to join the audio call based on detection of the headphone connected to the interface.
Dynamic rendering device metadata-informed audio enhancement system
A device renders enhanced audio based on properties of an audio rendering system. For example, audio rendering system information of an audio rendering system associated with the device is used to determine an audio enhancement optimized for the audio rendering system. The OS of the device (e.g., a mobile phone) is queried to determine the audio rendering system information. The audio rendering system information is used to determine an audio enhancement, such as by querying a database storing associations between rendering system information and audio enhancements. The audio enhancement may include, for example, one or more types of audio processing (e.g., subband spatial processing, crosstalk processing, etc.) and particular parameters for the audio processing. The audio enhancement is applied to an audio signal to generate an enhanced audio signal that is provided to the audio rendering system.
Method and device for recognition and arbitration of an input connection
Embodiments herein enable fast and easy interconnectivity among multimedia accessories including mobile devices and other devices. There is only limited space on mobile devices yet there are numerous input connectors. The standard TRRS audio jack is one such input that has and remains common, primarily because it is the accepted standard for audio input; namely, headphones and earpieces for listening purposes. Embodiments herein describe an intelligent switch to that audio jack that permits for additional backward and forward compatibility. It transparently allows a user to insert analog or digital audio devices, such as earphones, without the need to manually reconfigure device settings. The device herein automatically converts between input connector types using the same input convention present on their existing mobile devices. Other embodiments are disclosed.
Audio output method, electronic device, and storage medium
An audio output method applied to an electronic device having a proximity sensor, where the method includes obtaining proximity data of the proximity sensor when the electronic device is coupled to an audio output device and has an audio signal to output, outputting, by an earpiece of the electronic device, the audio signal when the proximity data meets a preset condition, determining a type of the audio output device, and selecting, based on the type of the audio output device, whether to output the audio signal using the audio output device. Hence, an earpiece is enabled to output an audio signal under a specific condition when an electronic device including a mobile phone is coupled to another audio output device, thereby improving user experience.
Device charger with accessory bays
A device charger with accessory bays is described. In some embodiments, an Information Handling System (IHS) may include: a processor; and a memory coupled to the processor, the memory having program instructions stored thereon that, upon execution by the processor, cause the IHS to: receive an indication, from a device charger coupled to the IHS, that an accessory has been ejected from the device charger; and in response to the indication, connect to the accessory.
AUDIO PLAYBACK SYSTEM FAULT DETECTION METHOD AND APPARATUS
There is disclosed an audio playback system including a loudspeaker, a microphone and a means for implementing a method of detecting a fault which includes the generation and analysis of a specific ultrasound reference signal. The presence of the ultrasound reference signal can be detected on the microphone signal, and the signal-to-noise ratio can be estimated during the reference signal playback so that the volume of the reference signal can be adapted if necessary. The reference signal is a multi-sinusoidal signal which, when averaged over time increases the expected signal-to-noise ratio, and hence, the power of the detector.
METHODS, SYSTEMS, AND MEDIA FOR CONTROLLING AUDIO OUTPUT
Methods, systems, and media for controlling audio output are provided. In some implementations, a method for controlling audio output is provided, the method comprising: receiving, by a computing device, audio content to be presented; determining that an output port of the computing device is connected to a corresponding connector; providing the audio content at the output port; recording a first portion of audio using a microphone; determining that the audio content is present in the first portion of audio; continuing to provide the audio content at the output port; recording a second portion of audio using the microphone; determining that the audio content is not present in the second portion of audio; and presenting the audio content using a speaker of the computing device.
