BLIND DETECTION OF BINAURALIZED STEREO CONTENT
An apparatus and method of blind detection of binauralized audio. If the input content is detected as binaural, a second binauralization may be avoided. In this manner, the user experience avoids audio artifacts introduced by multiple binauralizations.
Acoustic radiation reproduction
A method of producing an acoustic radiation pattern, the method comprising receiving an input audio signal representing a first acoustic radiation pattern, generating an acoustic monopole and an acoustic dipole based on the input audio signal, wherein generating the acoustic monopole and the acoustic dipole is to produce a second acoustic radiation pattern substantially similar to the first acoustic radiation pattern.
Audio Generation in a Media Playback System
Example techniques relate to audio generation in a media playback system. Based on one or more first functions and first characteristics of an area, the system may generate first audio that includes a first audio signal and a second audio signal. The system provides the first audio signal to at least one first audio driver and the second audio signal to at least one second audio driver, thereby causing a first playback device and a second playback device to play back the first audio synchronously. The system receives second characteristics of the area and based on one or more second functions and the second characteristics, generates second audio comprising a third audio signal and a fourth audio signal. The system provides the third audio signal to the at least one first audio driver and the fourth audio signal to the at least one second audio driver.
Electronic glasses that provide binaural sound
Electronic glasses track head movement of a user with respect to a location in empty space on top of a physical object. One or more processors process sound that externally localizes as binaural sound to the location in empty space on top of the physical object. Speakers in the electronic glasses provide the binaural sound to the user.
METHOD FOR BI-PHASIC SEPARATION AND RE-INTEGRATION ON MOBILE MEDIA DEVICES
Disclosed is a method of presenting audio information to a user. The method comprising receiving samples of a waveform from a media handling component, initializing a biquad filter with a set of one or more coefficients corresponding to a set of one or more stages of the biquad filter for both a real component of the samples and an imaginary component of the samples. The biquad filter is implemented on a media processing component of the mobile media device. The method further comprises applying the biquad filter to the samples of the waveform to generate an output for presentation to the user, the output comprising a processed rendering of the real component of the samples and the imaginary component of the samples.
Audio processing device and audio processing method
An audio processing device, including: a trans-aural processing unit configured to perform trans-aural processing with respect to a predetermined audio signal; and a correction processing unit configured to perform correction processing in accordance with a change in a listening position with respect to the audio signal having been subjected to the trans-aural processing.
Loudspeaker system provided with dynamic speech equalization
A method for speech equalization, comprising the steps of receiving an input audio signal, processing said input audio signal in dependence on frequency and to providing an equalized electric audio signal according to an equalization function, wherein said equalization function comprises at least an actuator part configured to dynamically applying a compensation filter to the received input signal and dynamically applying a transparent filter to the received input signal, and further transmitting an output signal perceivable by a user as sound representative of said electric acoustic input signal or a processed version thereof.
Audio signal processing apparatus and audio signal processing method for controlling amount of feed to buses
An audio signal processing apparatus includes a first bus, a second bus, and a controller that assigns a first input channel to the first bus, assigns a second input channel to the second bus, receives an amount of feed from the first input channel to the first bus, and receives an amount of feed from the second input channel to the second bus.
Method of providing audio in an automobile, and an audio apparatus for an automobile
An audio system for a vehicle may include: an audio signal processing system arranged to process a plurality of audio channels and generate a principal signal and an accommodating signal for each of the plurality of audio channels; an array of loudspeakers including at least two pairs of loudspeakers, each of the at least two pairs of loudspeakers including a front loudspeaker and a rear loudspeaker; wherein the loudspeakers of the array are positioned such that a first line connecting acoustic centers of a front loudspeaker and a rear loudspeaker of a first pair of loudspeakers is angularly displaced relative to a second line connecting acoustic centers of a front loudspeaker and a rear loudspeaker of a second pair of loudspeakers; and wherein the audio signal processing system is arranged to provide a principal signal of a first audio channel among the plurality of audio channels to the front loudspeaker of the first pair of loudspeakers, provide an accommodating signal of the first audio channel to the rear loudspeaker of the first pair of loudspeakers, provide a principal signal of a second audio channel among the plurality of audio channels to the front loudspeaker of the second pair of loudspeakers, and provide an accommodating signal of the second audio channel to the rear loudspeaker of the second pair of loudspeakers, to generate a directional radiation pattern from the array of loudspeakers, wherein the directional radiation pattern includes a forward component and a rearward component associated with the first pair of loudspeakers and a forward component and a rearward component associated with the second pair of loudspeakers, and wherein the forward component associated with the first pair of loudspeakers and the forward component associated with the second pair of loudspeakers are directed toward at least one reflecting surface of the vehicle.
VIRTUAL SURROUND SOUND PRODUCTION CIRCUIT, PLANAR SOUND SOURCE APPARATUS, AND FLAT PANEL DISPLAY DEVICE
A virtual surround sound production circuit includes: a subtraction unit configured to perform subtraction operation on first and second signals to output a third signal; a first addition unit configured to perform addition operation on the first and second signals to output a center channel signal; a surround sound adjustment unit configured to adjust the third signal or another third signal that has undergone frequency compensation to output a fourth signal; a center compensation unit configured to adjust the center channel signal to output a fifth signal; a second addition unit configured to perform addition operation on the first, fourth and fifth signals to output a first output signal; a phase inverter unit configured to perform phase inversion on the fourth signal to generate a phase-inverted signal; and a third addition unit configured to perform addition operation on the second, fifth and phase-inverted signals to output a second output signal.
