CAPTURING AND SYNCHRONIZING DATA FROM MULTIPLE SENSORS
Processes, methods, systems, and devices are disclosed for synchronizing multiple wireless data streams captured in action by various sensors, with lost data recovery. For example, a source device may have multiple sensors acquiring data and sending the data streams (e.g., via Bluetooth connections) to a target device. Timing information may be appended for each of the data streams. Data packets of the multiple data streams may be formed with the timing information. The data packets may be transmitted to a target device that is configured to synchronize the multiple data streams using the timing information. The target device, applying the example processes or techniques of this disclosure, may accurately synchronize the multiple data streams. In some cases, the target device may capture additional data streams and the processor synchronizes all data streams of both the source and the target devices.
ACOUSTIC PROCESSING DEVICE, ACOUSTIC PROCESSING METHOD, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
A storage unit stores a first transfer function representing a transfer characteristic of a sound from a sound source for each sound source direction, a sound source direction estimating unit calculates a conversion coefficient of an acoustic signal for each channel in a frequency domain and a spatial spectrum for each sound source direction on the basis of the first transfer function and estimates a sound source direction in which the spatial spectrum becomes a maximum as an estimated sound source direction, a transfer function estimating unit estimates a transfer function for the estimated sound source direction as a second transfer function by normalizing the conversion coefficients among channels, and a transfer function updating unit updates the first transfer function for the estimated sound source direction using the second transfer function.
Concept for generating an enhanced sound-field description or a modified sound field description using a depth-extended DirAC technique or other techniques
An apparatus for generating an enhanced sound field description includes: a sound field generator for generating at least one sound field description indicating a sound field with respect to at least one reference location; and a meta data generator for generating meta data relating to spatial information of the sound field, wherein the at least one sound field description and the meta data constitute the enhanced sound field description. The meta data can be a depth map associating a distance information to a direction in a full band or a subband, i.e., a time frequency bin.
Sound effect adjustment method, device, electronic device and storage medium
A sound effect adjustment method, device, electronic device, and storage medium are provided. The sound effect adjustment method can be applied to an electronic device. The method includes: detecting whether at least one target application is running on a current electronic device, wherein the current electronic device is capable of outputting audio sounds when the target application runs; determining at least one reference electronic device corresponding to the current electronic device when running the target application; obtaining sound effect parameters configured by the reference electronic device when running the target application; and adjusting, based on the sound effect parameters, output sound effects of the current electronic device when running the target application.
Utilizing athletic activities to augment audible compositions
Example embodiments relate to methods and systems for playback of adaptive music corresponding to an athletic activity. A user input is received from a user selecting an existing song for audible playback to the user, the song comprising a plurality of audio layers including at least a first layer, a second layer, and a third layer. Augmented playback of the existing song to the user is initiated by audibly providing the first layer but not the second layer. Physical activity information derived from a sensor corresponding to a real-time physical activity level of a user is received. If the physical activity level of the user is above a first activity level threshold, the augmented playback of the existing song is continued by audibly providing the first layer and the second layer to the user.
Audio control device and method of controlling multi-channel sound system
An audio control device and a method of controlling a multi-channel sound system are provided. The audio control device is configured to control the audio output of a multimedia device which includes a first and a second sound receiving devices. The audio control device includes an audio output port and a control circuit which performs the following steps: (A) controlling a test signal to be outputted from the audio output port at a first time point; (B) receiving a first input signal generated by the first sound receiving device, and recording a second time point; (C) receiving a second input signal generated by the second sound receiving device, and recording a third time point; and (D) calculating a speaker position according to the first time point, the second time point, the third time point, and a distance between the first sound receiving device and the second sound receiving device.
Transmission device, transmission method, reception device, and reception method
A processing load at a receiving side is reduced in a case where a plurality of classes of audio data is transmitted. A predetermined number of audio streams including coded data of a plurality of groups is generated and a container of a predetermined format having this predetermined number of audio streams is transmitted. Command information for creating a command specifying a group to be decoded from among the plurality of groups is inserted into the container and/or the audio stream. For example, a command insertion area for the receiving side to insert a command for specifying a group to be decoded is provided in at least one audio stream among the predetermined number of audio streams.
Headphone
An audio signal output system including a first audio signal path, a second audio signal path and control electronics that provide a mixed sound from sound sources to the first and second audio signal paths, and control the mixed sound in accordance with a position at which a sound image associated with at least one of the sound sources is localized relative to an orientation of a user's head. The control electronics provide one or more signals corresponding to the mixed sound to the first and second audio signal paths based on one or more transfer functions associated with one or more values corresponding to at least one of a distance from the user to the at least one sound source, an angle of the user with respect to the at least one sound source, and a size of a space in which the user is located.
Surface appropriate collisions
Disclosed herein are systems and methods for presenting an audio signal associated with presentation of a virtual object colliding with a surface. The virtual object and the surface may be associated with a mixed reality environment. Generation of the audio signal may be based on at least one of an audio stream from a microphone and a video stream form a sensor. In some embodiments, the collision between the virtual object and the surface is associated with a footstep on the surface.
