SESSION RECOVERY FROM DEDICATED BEARER FAILURE

Techniques and systems for recovering a communication session from a dedicated bearer failure are disclosed. For example, a P-CSCF node can determine that a dedicated bearer associated with a communication session has failed, and, in response, send a SIP message to a UE associated with the communication session, the SIP message causing the UE to refrain from sending SIP requests using a SIP INVITE method. The process may further include identifying a first network node associated with an identifier of the UE, the first network node comprising one of a PGW or a SMF, and sending an instruction to the first network node to dissociate the dedicated bearer from the communication session. This causes a new attach procedure to be performed by the UE to recover the session without session failure.

DYNAMICALLY ENABLED VEHICLE-TO-EVERYTHING (V2X) PEDESTRIAN MODE FOR MOBILE DEVICES

A method of wireless communication by a device includes detecting whether the device is in an outdoor environment in response to a start of a reevaluation timer. The method also determines a mobility level of the device in response to the start of the reevaluation timer. The method further includes enabling a vehicle-to-everything (V2X) pedestrian mode in response to the device being in the outdoor environment and/or the mobility level exceeding a threshold value.

SHORTCUT KEYPAD FOR VISUAL ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATIONS

Shortcut keypad system for electronic communications comprises first apparatus and second apparatus. First apparatus and second apparatus each comprise an input device, a processor and a memory. The input device comprises selectable items including first selectable item. The processor of the first apparatus receives a selection of the first selectable item, and transmits a signal corresponding to the first selectable item to the second apparatus. The processor of the second apparatus receives the signal corresponding to the first selectable item, and causes the input device of the second apparatus to indicate that the signal corresponding to the first selectable item is received. Other embodiments are described herein.

Dynamic encryption for scheduled message delivery

Techniques and architectures enable a wireless communications system to receive and transmit a message for which a user of a mobile device has specified to be delivered on a particular date and time to a contact in an address book of the user. Further, the network securely stores the message by encrypting the message with a strength of encryption that is based on the length of time that the message will be stored before its scheduled delivery.

Apparatus and method for payment of a texting session order from an electronic wallet

An intelligent interface responds to an order received in a text messaging session by initiating payment from an electronic wallet. An IP network interface receives requests including a source phone number, message content and the destination phone number. From the requests, an order program receives an order destined to a client establishment associated with the destination phone number. A response is generated with payment options from an electronic wallet associated with the source phone number. A reply generator generates a reply including the source phone number as a destination, the destination phone number as a source and the response. Selection of one of the payment options in the response causes the order program to process the payment for the order from the electronic wallet and forward the order to the client establishment.
