Method and apparatus for transmitting and receiving data in mission critical data communication system

The embodiments herein provide a method for managing short data service (SDS) disposition notifications in a Mission Critical Data (MCData) communication system. The method includes identifying, by a receiving MCData User Equipment (UE), SDS disposition request type Information Element (IE) in a SDS message received from a transmitting MCData UE. Further, the method includes initiating, by the receiving MCData UE, a timer when the disposition request type Information Element (IE) is set as Delivery and Read. Furthermore, the method includes transmitting, by the receiving MCData UE, a consolidated disposition notification to the transmitting MCData UE by stopping the timer when the SDS message is read before expiry of the timer.

Security and key management of digital content

Managing access to digital content within a particular domain, including: receiving the digital content at a first client device; decrypting the received digital content at the first client device using a first key; transcoding the digital content to another format; re-encrypting the transcoded content using a second key, wherein the second key is obtained by one of: (1) directly from a server; or (2) indirectly by deriving it locally based on information received from the server; and transmitting the re-encrypted content to a second client device, wherein the second client device obtains the second key and decrypts the re-encrypted content at the second client device.

Method and apparatus for sharing augmented reality applications to multiple clients

A method of interaction using augmented reality may include aligning a local augmented reality (AR) view to a remote AR view of a remote user, receiving remote annotations from the remote user, sending local annotations registered to a local view to the remote user, and manipulating local view with remote and local annotations. The method may also include capturing a first video image using a camera, generating first augmented reality (AR) coordinates corresponding to the first video image, receiving second AR coordinates, 3D object information and second video frame from remote user, loading 3D content and instructions from a remote storage, and updating positions and existence of the received 3D object information and the loaded 3D content.

TECHNIQUE FOR EFFECTIVE ORGANIZATION AND COMMUNICATION OF INFORMATION

In a communication arrangement in accordance with the invention, a server is employed to collect and organize information for mobile device users according to the user profiles, e.g., personal profile, business profile, vacation profile, etc., which reflect different user personae. By using this arrangement, the user advantageously maintains only the necessary information in the mobile device and downloads any additional information from the server on an as needed basis. In addition, the server is capable of serving mobile devices which may be incompatible to one another, thereby facilitating an exchange of information between such devices. Moreover, with the server, incoming messages for the user are organized and stored according to the source of the messages and the user criteria established in the user profiles. Further, information in a mobile device may be organized using electronic information cards, referred to as “E-cards,” which facilitate, among others, transfer of information from the mobile device to the server, or other mobile devices to conduct various commercial and data transactions.

A method for a disaster notification service not requiring collecting of location information, and systems thereof. The method includes the steps of: receiving, from at least one registration system, disaster information including a disaster location and disaster notification information; specifying, a set of location information, each including location information which corresponds to the disaster location of each of at least one item of disaster information; transmitting, the specified set of location information to a plurality of user terminals; if any one of the plurality of user terminals determines that the location of the user terminal is included in matching location information included in the set of location information, receiving, a content transmission request including identification information of the matching location information; and transmitting, content including the matching disaster notification information corresponding to the matching location information in response to reception of the content transmission request.

Techniques for neutralizing malicious malware embedded in a media item being sent to a user equipment (UE) are discussed herein. A network device may receive (e.g., intercept) a medial file in transit via a wireless communication network being sent to a UE. The media file may include some type of perceptible content (e.g., audio, video, image data, etc.) as well as malware embedded in the media file. The network device may generate a transcoded media file based on the received media file that includes the perceptible content while neutralizing the malware.
