Adapter for providing unified transaction interface
Embodiments of the invention are directed to enabling access transaction systems to accept different communication protocols. In some embodiment, an access device receives, from a portable device, an indication that a transaction is to be performed by exchanging transaction information between the portable device and a remote computer, wherein the remote computer is configured to communicate using a first communication protocol. Next, the access device determines that the portable device is configured to communicate using a second communication protocol. The access device then converts communications between the portable device and the remote computer from the second communication protocol to the first communication protocol to assist the portable device and the remote computer in exchanging the transaction information.

Compressive sensing systems and methods using edge nodes of distributed computing networks
A system and method for compressive sensing using edge nodes of a distributed computing network. The method includes collecting a raw data signal continuously by a sensor of the edge node. A signal energy indicator is dynamically updated that quantifies an energy distortion in the raw data signal. One or more compression characteristics are determined as a function of the signal energy indicator as the signal energy indicator is updated. The raw data signal is subsampled in accordance with current values of the one or more compression characteristics to create a compressed data signal. An output is transmitted that includes the compressed data signal to a centralized node.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR AUTOMATICALLY IDENTIFYING AND ANNOTATING AUDITORY SIGNALS FROM ONE OR MORE PARTIES
A telecommunications system, that after a communication is established by a first electronic communication device and a second electronic communication device, while the conversation is ongoing between a first person using the first electronic communication device and a second person using the second electronic communication device, responsive to content of converted text based on a plurality of words spoken, route the content to a cloud-based phone recognition and entity identification, annotation, and relevance processing resource, to enable display of information related to the content by at least one of the first electronic communication device and the second electronic communication device.

Method and apparatus for providing data in edge computing system
An application context relocation method performed by an edge enabler client (EEC) included in a user equipment (UE) in an edge computing system is provided. The application context relocation method includes determining to request an application context relocation by detecting that the application context relocation is required for a predicted or expected UE location; determining a target edge enabler server (T-EES) by using T-EES information received from an edge data network (EDN) configuration server; transmitting, to a source edge enabler server (SEES), an application context relocation request to start the application context relocation; receiving, from the S-EES, an application context relocation response, in response to the application context relocation request; and receiving, from the S-EES, an application context relocation notification of completion of the application context relocation.
SYSTEM, METHOD, AND ARTICLE OF MANUFACTURE TO CONTINUOUSLY PROVIDE A GLIMPSE INTO A NAVIGATION APPLICATION RUNNING IN THE BACKGROUND OF THE MOBILE DEVICE THAT IS IN A SCREEN LOCKED STATE
A navigation application running in the foreground of the mobile device is run in the background when the mobile device enters a screen locked state. A display may be activated while the mobile device remains in the screen locked state, and an image is rendered over a lock screen of the mobile device, where the image providing a glimpse into the navigation application running in the background while the mobile device remains in the screen locked state. The image displayed over the lock screen is iteratively updated to provide a continuous glimpse into the navigation application running in the background of the mobile device that is in the screen locked state, without having to unlock the mobile device.
AGGREGATING MULTIPLE DATA STREAMS ON A COMMUNICATION LINK
A host device establishes a wireless communication link with a client device, and implements a wired communication standard on the link to transfer a first data stream. To increase data throughput while complying with the standard, the host device replaces synchronizing information in a packet to be sent during a first synchronizing frame with configuration information indicating that packet exchange data of a second data stream is to be sent or received during a second synchronizing frame. The host device sends or receives the packet exchange data of the second data stream to or from the client device during the second synchronizing frame via the wireless communication link. The host device may send or receive the packet exchange data of the second data stream during delays or idle periods between sending and/or receiving packets of the first data stream via the wireless communication link according to the wired communication standard.
