METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PROVIDING AUGMENTED REALITY SERVICES
The present disclosure relates to a communication technique and system for combining 5G communication systems with IoT technologies to achieve a higher data rate beyond 4G systems. The present disclosure can be applied to intelligent services (e.g., smart homes, smart buildings, smart cities, smart or connected cars, healthcare, digital education, retail businesses, and security and safety related services) on the basis of 5G communication technologies and IoT related technologies. The disclosure provides a method for an electronic device to provide an augmented reality service. The method may include receiving content related information for an object; transmitting a request for at least one content among multiple contents related to the object based on filtering information and the content related information, and outputting at least one content received in response to the request in a virtual region.
Detecting Location within a Network
Systems and methods for detecting the presence of a body in a network without fiducial elements, using signal absorption, and signal forward and reflected backscatter of radio frequency (RF) waves caused by the presence of a biological mass in a communications network.
Systems and methods for streaming content to nearby displays
The present disclosure provides systems and methods for a mobile device to select content, such as user profiles, contact information, images, and/or videos, to automatically stream to available displays when the mobile device moves within a certain range of the displays. In one embodiment, a method at a mobile device comprises receiving a user input to select a media content asset; detecting a display within a proximity of the mobile device; and sending the selected media content asset to the display without requiring additional user input.
ENABLING IMPROVED USER EXPERIENCE WITH LOCATION ESTIMATES
In a system a map of a site is presented on a display. A user input specifying at least one path section in the map on the display is detected. A definition of the at least one path section is stored. A representation of a radio environment stored for the site is provided as positioning assistance data. The representation of the radio environment enables a determination of a location estimate for a mobile device at the site based on at least one characteristic of at least one radio signal detected by the mobile device at the site. The definition of the at least one specified path section is provided for enabling an adjustment of a determined location estimate.
LOCATION ESTIMATES
A device obtains at least one characteristic of at least one radio signal detected at a mobile device that is located at a particular site and a representation of a radio environment for the site and a definition of at least one specified path section for the site. The at least one path section has been specified by a person in a map presented on a display. The device determines a location estimate for the mobile device based on the at least one characteristic of the at least one radio signal and based on the representation of the radio environment for the site and adjusts the determined location estimate based on the definition of at least one specified path section.
SUBSCRIPTION FOR NON-DATA WIRELESS SERVICES
Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a management network node may receive, from a communication network node, a service activation request for a non-data wireless service (NDWS). The management network node may transmit, to a verification network node, a request associated with providing an NDWS configuration for the communication network node. The management network node may receive, from the verification network node, a configuration indication associated with the management network node providing the NDWS configuration for the communication network node. Numerous other aspects are described.
DETERMINING LOCATION OF MOBILE DEVICE USING SENSOR SPACE TO PHYSICAL SPACE MAPPING
A mobile device can identify its physical location without explicit knowledge of physical coordinates, but instead using sensor measurements dependence on distance, e.g., signal strength from a Wi-Fi router. Sensor measurements can be used to determine the mobile device is at a same physical location as a previous measurement. For example, numerous measurements of sensor values can form data points that are clustered in sensor space, where a cluster of data points in sensor space corresponds to a physical cluster of physical positions in physical space. A current physical location of the mobile device can be determined by identifying which cluster of sensor positions the current measurements correspond. To identify the cluster of sensor positions, a probability can be determined for each cluster based on a sensor distance between the current measurement and a representative data point of the cluster and a kernel function.

RADIO AND SLAVE CONTROL APPARATUS
Provided is a radio formed to be capable of performing wireless communication with sensors, and configured to be connected, through one communication port via wired communication, to a slave control apparatus configured to be communicably connected to a master control apparatus with a predetermined communication method. The radio generates one communication packet formed with the predetermined communication method and transmitted from the radio to the slave control apparatus, such that pieces of measured data measured by the sensors are included in the one communication packet in accordance with a predetermined order in which the slave control apparatus or the master control apparatus can determine which sensor measured which piece of the measured data of the sensors, and the radio transmits the generated one communication packet to the slave control apparatus via wired communication.
