DATA TRANSMISSION METHOD AND APPARATUS
The technology of this application relates to a data transmission method. The method includes an application server sending a subscription request to a core network element, to subscribe to a notification indicating whether transmitting data of a first service to first user equipment in a multicast mode is supported, so that a transmission mode of the data of the first service can be flexibly selected based on a subscription result.
APPLICATION CLIENT AND EDGE APPLICATION SERVER DISCOVERY WITH SERVICE AUTHORIZATION AND LOCATION SERVICE
Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a first edge application server (EAS) discovery message from an application client that is external to the UE. The UE may transmit a second EAS discovery message to an edge enabler server (EES) based at least in part on the first EAS discovery message. The UE may receive, from the EES, an EAS response message. The EAS response message may indicate a failure of a discovery request associated with the application client or the EAS response message may indicate an EAS associated with the application client. The UE may transmit an indication of the failure of the discovery request or an indication of the EAS to the application client. Numerous other aspects are described.
DATA NETWORK NAME (DNN) MODIFICATION FOR A WIRELESS USER EQUIPMENT (UE) IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION NETWORKS
A wireless communication network serves a wireless data service to a wireless User Equipment (UE). In the wireless communication network, a network controller receives a service request from a wireless UE and transfers a UE context request to a Unified Data Management (UDM). The UDM retrieves a subscriber profile for the wireless UE. The UDM identifies a wireless service type for the wireless UE and identifies a set of virtual Data Network Names (vDNNs) in the subscriber profile. The UDM selects one of the vDNNs for the wireless UE based on the wireless service type of the wireless UE. The UDM indicates the selected one of the vDNNs to the network controller. The network controller overrides provisioned DNN values using the selected one of the vDNNs. The network controller establishes a wireless data session for the wireless UE based on the selected one of the vDNNs.

WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SERVICE OVER A NETWORK EXPOSURE FUNCTION (NEF) INTERFACE
A wireless communication network to serve a User Equipment (UE) over Network Exposure Functions (NEFs) that have Application Programming Interfaces (APIs). In the wireless communication network, a NEF Interface Function (NIF) receives a NEF request from a network function. The NIF correlates the NEF request with one of the APIs. The NIF selects one of the NEFs based on the one of the APIs. The NIF translates the NEF request into an API call based on the one of the APIs. The NIF transfers the API call to the one of the NEFs. The one of the NEFs receive the API call and responsively performs a network task for the UE based on the API call.

VEHICLE SOFTWARE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR RECOVERING SOFTWARE THEREOF
A vehicle software management system includes a management controller mounted on a vehicle to perform an update of software of a performance controller, and an over-the-air (OTA) server for transmitting a software package for roll back and a software package for the update to the management controller based on whether the management controller has the software package for the roll back, and the management controller performs roll back of the software of the performance controller using the software package for the roll back when the update of the software of the performance controller using the software package for the update fails.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR PROVISIONING REALTIME SOCIAL COMMUNITY BASED ON LOCATION SERVICE
A computer implemented method for provisioning real-time social community based on location services, the computer implemented method includes: transmitting vehicle-related data to a database; receiving one or more vehicle-related preference corresponding to the vehicle-related data; filtering the vehicle-related data based on the vehicle-related preference to generate at least one filtered vehicle-related data corresponding to the other one of the end users; establishing a chat session between the one end user and the other one of the end users; and transmitting first associated data via the chat session.

Proactive and reactive management for devices in a network
The disclosed technology includes a health engine that monitors and modifies customer-premises equipment (CPE) devices. The health engine can detect patterns in CPE device behavior, identify problems with CPE devices, and adjust CPE device configurations proactively or reactively to address problems or prevent problems. In some implementations, the health engine can instruct a CPE device or gateway to restart, update its software or firmware, notify a user of the CPE device of an unhealthy behavior pattern in a CPE device. The health engine can modify a CPE device prior to a user using the device or when the CPE device is inactive.
