Distributing wireless relays to form an ad hoc wireless network
Techniques are described for a method of establishing a wireless ad hoc network using a series of wireless relays deployed in a geographical area where an extreme event has occurred. The deployed wireless relays may form a plurality of links between them to form the wireless ad hoc network where each of the wireless relays may serve as node in the wireless ad hoc network. The ad wireless hoc network may provide wireless services to devices within the geographical area. The wireless relays may be deployed to various locations within the geographical area using a plurality of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) that may receive control commands from a relay control device.
CLOUD CONTROLLED MESH NETWORKING
Devices, systems, and methods for optimizing a mesh network by cloud computing. A cloud network controller may receive from multiple access points (APs) in a mesh network information related to channel quality based on measurements taken by the APs. Based on this information, the cloud network controller may forecast one or more optimal channels based on the information related to channel quality. The cloud network controller my then send to the multiple APs a message including a recommendation to switch to the one or more optimal channels based on the forecasting. The AP may then make a decision to carry out the recommended channel switch.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR ESTABLISHING CELL OF BASE STATION IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for establishing a cell using system information of neighboring cells on the basis of interference environments of the neighboring cells in a wireless communication system. The method according to the present invention comprises the steps of: detecting, by a base station, cell IDs of neighboring cells by using synchronization signals transmitted from the neighboring cells; checking whether resources, to which common reference signals (CRS) transmitted from the neighboring cells are transmitted, overlap with each other, on the basis of the cell IDs; estimating channels of the neighboring cells by using the CRS s; and determining an interference environment for establishing a cell by using the result of the checking and the estimated channels.

DENSIFYING A MOBILITY NETWORK BY SITING ANTENNAS WITH DEMAND ZONE PLANNING, IN A COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK
The technologies described herein are generally directed to facilitating operation of a system for implementing fifth generation (5G) or other next generation networks. In accordance with one or more embodiments, a method described herein can include identifying, by a device comprising a processor, predicted resource usage of a first antenna covering a geographic zone. Further, the method can include selecting, by the device, a group of geographic siting locations within the geographic zone for potentially siting ones of a group of second antennas. In addition, selecting, by the device, a spatial arrangement in relation to the first antenna, of a subset of the group of geographic siting locations can occur, with a selected spatial arrangement including an arrangement to maintain the predicted resource usage in the condition.

Detecting Cellular Network Bottlenecks Through Analysis of Resource Allocation Patterns
A system and method for operation of a user equipment (UE) to determine a cellular network bottleneck in a downlink channel, and an apparatus for use in a UE for determining the same. A UE may determine a burst of network traffic from network traffic received from the cellular network during a series of transmission time intervals. The UE may analyze resource allocations to the UE during the burst to determine an extent to which the cellular network is busy. The UE may determine that the cellular network is experiencing a bottleneck based at least in part on the analysis of the resource allocations to the UE in the burst.
