METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR IMPROVING HANDOVER PERFORMANCE IN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
An operation method of a terminal in a communication system may comprise: receiving a first occurrence reporting condition of a handover problem from a source base station; performing a handover from the source base station to a target base station; identifying whether a handover problem occurs based on the first occurrence reporting condition while performing the handover; and in response to identifying that a handover problem occurs, transmitting information indicating the occurrence of the handover problem to the target base station.
DYNAMIC WIRELESS NETWORK THROUGHPUT ADJUSTMENT
Dynamic wireless network throughput adjustment is provided herein. A method can include determining, by a system comprising a processor, a sector of a communication network for which an amount of congestion present in the sector is greater than a congestion threshold; selecting, by the system from among respective network equipment operating in the sector, target network equipment for throughput adjustment based on equipment performance metrics respectively associated with the respective network equipment; and facilitating, by the system, adjusting a throughput of the target network equipment by an adjustment amount determined based on target equipment performance metrics, of the equipment performance metrics, associated with the target network equipment.
System and method for access point coordination
A coordinated multiple-AP system and method for alleviating AP overloading, sticky clients, and RF interference for use in a non-WLAN Controller (WLC) communication environment, such as a home network. In the present system and method AP periodically measure the communication environment and share the measured data with other APs in the same communication environment. The shared communication environment data is utilized to collaboratively determine best data transmission scenarios for supported clients. Best data transmission scenarios include but are not limited to optimized Client Link Management and Radio Resource Management.

User plane function (UPF) load balancing supporting multiple slices
Embodiments are directed towards systems and methods for user plane function (UPF) and network slice load balancing within a 5G network. Example embodiments include systems and methods for load balancing based on current UPF load and thresholds that depend on UPF capacity; UPF load balancing using predicted throughput of new UE on the network based on network data analytics; UPF load balancing based on special considerations for low latency traffic; UPF load balancing supporting multiple slices, maintaining several load-thresholds for each UPF and each slice depending on the UPF and network slice capacity; and UPF load balancing using predicted central processing unit (CPU) utilization and/or predicted memory utilization of new UE on the network based on network data analytics.
Scan-based synchronization signal block (SSB) configuration for a base station
A method of wireless communication includes, in response to a trigger event detected at a first base station, performing, by the first base station, a scan of a plurality of frequencies for a synchronization signal block (SSB) transmission from a second base station. The plurality of frequencies correspond to a plurality of global synchronization channel numbers (GSCNs) associated with the first base station and the second base station. The first base station is associated with a first coverage area that is at least partially within a second coverage area associated with the second base station. The method further includes transmitting, by the first base station, one or more SSBs having an SSB configuration that is based on a result of the scan.
