Multi-active electronic subscriber identity module profiles for multi-service user equipment
A wireless communication device for establishing two different user equipment (UE) radio access network (RAN) attachments. The wireless communication device comprises an application processor; a baseband processor; a non-transitory memory; a virtual user equipment (UE) application stored in the non-transitory memory that, when executed by the application processor as a first virtual UE instance accesses a first eSIM profile stored in the non-transitory memory, establishes a first UE attachment to a radio access network based on credentials accessed from the first eSIM profile, and conducts a first wireless communication session via the first UE attachment, and when executed by the application processor as a second virtual UE application instance accesses a second eSIM profile stored in the non-transitory memory, establishes a second UE attachment to a radio access network based on credentials accessed from the second eSIM profile, and conducts a second wireless communication session via the second UE attachment.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR UPDATING RADIO NOTIFICATION AREA
A method and apparatus for updating a radio notification area. The method is applicable to a terminal configured with at least a first subscriber identity module (SIM) card and a second SIM card, and includes: receiving configuration information sent by a first base station; when the second SIM card is to be handed over to a second base station, sending radio notification area update information of the first SIM card to the second SIM card based on the configuration information in response to that the second base station is located outside a radio notification area configured by the first base station for the first SIM card; and sending, through the second SIM card and to the first base station, a measurement report of handing over to the second base station, wherein the measurement report includes the radio notification area update information of the first SIM card.
Communication coordination and collision mitigation for multi-subscriber identity module
This disclosure relates to systems, apparatuses, and methods for coordinating communication and avoiding and/or mitigating collisions for multi-subscriber identity module devices in a wireless communication system. A wireless device may coordinate communication associated with different subscriber identity modules and/or may mitigate collisions between communications associated with different subscriber identity modules. A network may provide information to improve coordination and/or mitigate collisions. A network may adjust paging schedules and/or provision of alert messages to improve coordination.
System and methods for multi-links SD-WAN using cellular device connections
Systems and methods for multi-links software-defined wide area network (SD-WAN) using phone mobile hotspots include a network device that receives, from a client, a request to establish a connection with a data source. The network device may select, responsive to receiving the request, a connection between the network device and one of the first registered cellular device or the second registered cellular device via which the network device is to transmit network traffic corresponding to the request, the first registered cellular device and the second registered cellular device registered with the network device and having a respective cellular connection. The network device may transmit network traffic corresponding to the request from the client via the connection to the data source.
PROVIDING SESSION CONTINUITY FOR PARALLEL SESSIONS INVOLVING A MULTIPLE UNIVERSAL SUBSCRIBER IDENTITY MODULE USER EQUIPMENT
Presented herein are techniques to provide data session continuity for parallel data sessions involving a multiple Universal Subscriber Identity Module (MUSIM) user equipment (UE). In one example, a method may include obtaining an indication that session continuity for a first session associated with a first data network and a first USIM of a UE is allowed with respect to a second USIM in which the UE communicates first traffic for the first session via the first USIM. The method may further include determining that second traffic for a second session is to be communicated via the second USIM of the UE and, based on the indication that session continuity for the first session is allowed with respect to the second USIM, providing service information to the UE for the first session to enable the UE to communicate both the first traffic and the second traffic via the second USIM.
METHOD AND UE FOR HANDLING MOBILITY PROCEDURE FOR UE
The present disclosure relates to a pre-5.sup.th-Generation (5G) or 5G communication system to be provided for supporting higher data rates Beyond 4.sup.th-Generation (4G) communication system such as Long Term Evolution (LTE).
Embodiments herein disclose a method performed by a terminal in a mobile communication system. The method includes performing a registration procedure on a first standalone non-public network (SNPN), selecting a second SNPN based on a predetermined condition, and transmitting, to a network entity, a registration request message on the second SNPN for an initial registration, in case that the second SNPN differs from the first SNPN.
Service layer registration
A service layer entity may register to another service layer entity and proactively request to gain access to the local services hosted by the registrar entity. A registrar entity may accept a registree entity's registration request but only grant access of its partial services to the registree entity. If a registree entity does not need to proactively request the services within its registration request message, the registrar entity decides what services may be needed by the registree entity and grants access of those services to the registree entity.
Method and system for providing communication services using a plurality of remote subscriber identity modules
A method and a wireless communication device for providing communication service to devices connected to the wireless communication device. By establishing a starter wireless carrier connection using a starter SIM from a plurality of local SIMs, the wireless communication device establishes one or more logical data connections with one or more SIM banks. Remote-SIMs are selected from the one or more SIM banks and used to establish further wireless carrier connections to allow communication service to be provided to the devices over wireless carrier connections.
Method and device for communication processing, and storage medium
A method for communication processing, applied to a terminal device having installed therein multiple subscriber identity module (SIM) cards including a data primary card and a data secondary card each supporting a New Radio (NR) communication function, includes: conducting statistics on cell information of cells supporting the NR communication function; and determining, according to the cell information, whether a cell to which the data secondary card is registered is a cell supporting the NR communication function, and in response to the cell to which the data secondary card is registered being the cell supporting the NR communication function, enabling the NR communication function of the data secondary card and controlling the data secondary card to perform cell measurement.
METHODS FOR MULTI-SIM UE CONNECTED MODE OPERATION
Methods and apparatuses are described herein for multi-subscriber identification module (SIM) connected mode operation. In one embodiment, a wireless communications device may receive, from an access stratum interface, a request access to the receiver chain during a receiving opportunity. The wireless communications device may determine that the receiver chain is available during the receiving opportunity. The wireless communications device may send a response indicating access is granted to cause the access stratum interface to receive a downlink transmission during the receiving opportunity. The wireless communications device may receive, from the access stratum interface, a second request for a transmitter chain during a transmitting opportunity. The wireless communications device may determine that the transmitter chain is available during the transmitting opportunity. The wireless communications device may send a second response indicating access is granted to enable the access stratum interface to transmit an uplink transmission during the transmitting opportunity.
