Radio communication equipment and control method thereof
A radio communication device installed on a vehicle of this application comprises a radio communicator configured to perform a radio communication with a plurality of networks, a controller configured to perform location registration or a call origination via each of the plurality of networks, and a storage configured to store location registration results or call origination results for each of the plurality of networks. The controller is configured to select a network affording more favorable results than results of one of the plurality of networks based on the location registration results or call origination results stored in the storage, and perform location registration at a time of an emergency call origination by using the selected network.
UE AND SMF
According to one aspect of the present invention, a communication unit for realizing a function for ATSSS in a 5GS is provided. A UE transmits a PDU session establishment request message including an MA PDU Request indication and ATSSS Capability, and in a case that an MA PDU session is allowed to be established and that only the user plane resources for one of 3GPP access or non-3GPP access are allowed to be established, the UE receives information indicating that the MA PDU session is allowed to be established, an access type corresponding to the user plane resources allowed to be established, a value indicating a cause of disallowance of establishment of the user plane resource for an access type different from the above-described access type, and a PDU session establishment accept message including ATSSS rules, and establishes the MA PDU session.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR REPORTING MULTI-USIM UE CAPABILITY SUPPORTING DIFFERENT OPERATORS
A user equipment (UE) for wireless communication includes one or more non-transitory computer-readable media having computer-executable instructions embodied thereon, at least one processor coupled to the non-transitory computer-readable media, and configured to execute the computer-executable instructions to: detect a presence of a first multiple-universal subscriber identity module (USIM) based operation and a second USIM based operation in the UE, the first USIM based operation belonging to a first Public Land Mobile Network (PLMN), the second USIM based operation belonging to a second PLMN different than the first PLMN; perform a first registration procedure, using the first USIM based operation, with the first PLMN; perform a second registration procedure, using the second USIM based operation, with the second PLMN; wherein the UE receives information of one or more operation gaps during the first registration procedure, and performs the second registration procedure during at least one of the operation gaps.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PERFORMING HANDOVER OF A MULTI-USIM RADIO-CAPABLE UE OVER SAME OR DIFFERENT SYSTEMS
A user equipment (UE) for wireless communication is disclosed. The UE includes one or more non-transitory computer-readable media having computer-executable instructions embodied hereon, and at least one processor coupled to the one or more nontransitory computer-readable media, and configured to execute the computer-executable instructions to provide a measurement report to a source base station and receive a handover command through the source base station. The measurement report includes measurements of a target base station associated with a first universal subscriber identity module (USIM) of the UE. The handover command contains information of the target base station and information of at least one candidate target base station associated with a second USIM of the UE.
METHOD, APPARATUS AND COMPUTER PROGRAM PRODUCT FOR ADAPTIVE PAGING OF USER EQUIPMENT SUPPORTING MULTIPLE SUBSCRIBER IDENTIFICATION MODULES
A method, apparatus, and computer program product provide for adaptive paging for user equipment (UE) with multiple subscriber identification modules (SIMs). A UE may provide, in a registration message to the network, an indication that the UE supports multiple SIMs. The network may allow repeated paging to let a SIM miss a paging occasion without interpreting that the UE is unavailable. The indication from the UE can specify the number of SIMS supported by the UE. The network can adapt the number of paging repetitions to the UE. If the UE is accepting paging from another network or has a SIM that is already active with the network, the UE sends the network a paging control message. If the UE detects a paging occasion conflict, the UE sends the network a registration message with a replacement ID for paging another SIM, and the UE and the network negotiate appropriate paging.
Multi-SIM UE Capability Indications and Band Conflict Resolution
Devices and associated methods for operating a dual-subscriber identity module (SIM) dual-standby (DSDS) user equipment device (UE) configured with a first SIM and a second SIM. The UE transmits a connection request message to a base station over a first network using the first SIM, where the connection request message includes one or more capability indications of the UE. The UE receives a connection accept message from the base station, where the connection accept message includes one or more network capability indications corresponding to respective UE capability indications of the one or more UE capability indications. The UE performs communications with the base station according to the one or more network capability indications.
Service request processing method, apparatus, and communications system
Embodiments provide a service request processing method, a related device, and a communications system in an IMS network. In some embodiments, because 5GC network slices correspond to different services, P-CSCFs in the IMS also correspond to different service information. After receiving a terminated service request sent by an I-CSCF, a first S-CSCF can obtain an address of a corresponding P-CSCF based on terminated service information carried in the terminated service request. Then, the first S-CSCF sends the terminated service request to the P-CSCF corresponding to the address, and the P-CSCF processes the terminated service request.
PAGING FOR MULTIPLE SIMS
Apparatuses, methods, and systems are disclosed for paging multi-SIM devices in the same network. One apparatus includes a first subscriber identity module (“SIM”), a second SIM, a processor and a transceiver that communicates with at least one communication network. The processor registers with a first communication network using the first SIM and registers with a second communication network using the second SIM. Here, the registration with the first communication network is associated with a first identifier, wherein registering with the second communication network includes indicating the first identifier to the second communication network upon determining that the first communication network and the second communication network are the same communication network.
ESTABLISHING A CONNECTION WITH A DUAL REGISTERED DEVICE
Apparatuses, methods, and systems are disclosed for establishing a connection with a dual registered device. One method includes receiving a first request to establish an internet protocol multimedia subsystem session with a first device, wherein the first device is dual registered to: a first network access supporting 5G core network connectivity; and a second network access supporting evolved packet core network connectivity and circuit switched network connectivity, wherein the first device has connectivity to an internet protocol multimedia subsystem via either the first network access or the second network access. The method includes determining first information corresponding to a network access connectivity selected from the first network access and the second network access through which the first device has internet protocol connectivity with the internet protocol multimedia subsystem. The method includes transmitting a second request to a first network function to retrieve second information.
Facilitation of multiple subscriber identity module coordination for 5G or other next generation network
One subscriber identity module (SIM) can transmit data in active mode while another SIM is in an idle mode. However, paging for the SIM in idle mode can occur based on a discontinuous reception configuration (DRX) cycle of the active SIM. For example, when the DRX of the active SIM indicates that the active SIM is in an idle state, then the SIM that is currently in an idle state can send messages and vice versa. The DRX cycle information can be exchanged between a first core network and a second core network. Each core network can belong to the same or different mobile network operator and can have separate radio access networks (RAN) or share the RAN. The DRX cycle information and/or a time-division multiplexing (TDM) pattern can be exchanged over the air via a system information broadcast message.
