MUSIM PAGING RESTRICTION IN 5GS
A method of determining paging restriction on downlink signals for MUSIM UEs is proposed. If a UE requests the network to support paging restriction over the first USIM, the UE can send a request message to the network, carrying a UE-preferred paging restriction information. Subsequently, the UE should then receive an accept message from the network that the paging is restricted over the first USIM based on the UE-preferred paging restriction information. As a result, when DL signaling is pending for the UE over the first USIM, the network can determine whether it should page the UE over the first USIM based on the paging restriction type indicated in the paging restriction information. Since the DL signaling is selectively restricted over USIM1, the UE can perform more important jobs over USIM2 with better performance and user experience.
Method for configuring a user equipment, user equipment, and rule management entity
A method for configuring a user device to which a plurality of identifiers, each uniquely identifying the user in at least one communications network, is allocated. The method includes, for at least one application: obtaining at least one rule associating, with at least one flow of the application, at least one slice of the at least one communications network for routing data relating to the at least one flow and an item of information connecting the slice to an identifier from among the plurality of identifiers of the user; and configuring the user device with the at least one rule such that it executes the at least one rule when accessing the application.
Staggered IMS Bearer Activation and Radio Bearer Activation in 5G Non-Standalone Networks
Devices, systems, and methods relate to performing Internet Protocol (IP) Media Subsystem (IMS) bearer activation and radio bearer activation at different times. In some embodiments, a radio bearer is activated after the IMS bearer is activated. The radio bearer that is activated after the IMS bearer is activated may utilize a different Radio Access Technology (RAT) than an initial radio bearer. In certain instances, a device initiates activation of the radio bearer upon receiving confirmation that the IMS bearer is activated, or initiates activation of the radio bearer a predetermined period of time after initiating activation of the IMS bearer. In various embodiments, staggered IMS bearer activation and radio bearer activation can prevent collisions at components of an Evolved Packet Core (EPC).
SERVICE REGISTRATION METHOD, TERMINAL, AND NETWORK SIDE DEVICE
A service registration method, a terminal, and a network side device are provided. The terminal includes a first subscriber identity card module associated with a first subscriber identity card and a second subscriber identity card module associated with a second subscriber identity card. The method includes: accessing a first mobile network based on the first subscriber identity card; and transmitting a voice over wireless fidelity (VoWiFi) registration message of the second subscriber identity card based on the first mobile network.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR SUPPORTING MULTI-USIM USER EQUIPMENT
A user equipment (UE) for wireless communication includes one or more non-transitory computer-readable media having computer-executable instructions embodied thereon, at least one processor coupled to the one or more non-transitory computer-readable media and configured to execute the computer-executable instructions to: detect a presence of multiple-universal subscriber identity module (multi-USIM) based operations having at least a first USIM based operation and a second USIM based operation in the UE, receive paging resource configurations for the first USIM and the second USIM, and monitor at least one paging resource channel indicated in the paging resource configurations for receiving paging for at least one of the first USIM and the second USIM.
Method and apparatus for registering with network slice in wireless communication system
A method of a network function (NF) entity performing communication in a wireless communication system includes: in case that a first registration request of a user equipment (UE) for a slice is received at an access and mobility function (AMF) entity through a first network, receiving a first slice availability request message for the slice from the AMF entity; determining whether the slice is available for the UE, based on a network slice policy; and transmitting, to the AMF entity, a response message including information regarding slice availability of the UE according to the first registration request, wherein in case that a second registration request of the UE for the slice is received at the AMF entity through a second network, slice availability of the UE according to the second registration request is determined based on at least one of the network slice policy or the information regarding the slice availability of the UE according to the first registration request.
UE BEHAVIOR WHEN THE DEVICE IS ATTACHED FOR EMERGENCY SERVICE
This disclosure is related to a procedure of handling UE (100) behavior when the UE (100)is attached for emergency services. More specifically this disclosure defines the UE (100) behavior when the UE (100) is registered to a PLMN or two different PLMN via 3GPP access network and non-3GPP access network and UE (100) has is registered for emergency service over one of the 3GPP access network or non-3GPP access network.
5G SA Network-Based Call Method, Electronic Device, and System
A terminal first connects to a 5th generation (5G) standalone (SA) network and initiates a call to another terminal by using a Voice over New Radio (VoNR) technology. When the terminal fails to call the other terminal, the terminal disconnects from the 5G SA network, connects to a Long-Term Evolution (LTE) network, and then automatically initiates a call to the other terminal by using a Voice over LTE (VoLTE) technology.
Session Management Method, Device, and System
A session management method, device, and system, such that a terminal can access a local data network using a local user plane function (UPF) network element even when the terminal is out of a management area of a remote anchor session management function (SMF) network element. The method includes: receiving, by an intermediate session management network element, one or more local data network access identifiers (DNAIs); and determining, by the intermediate session management network element, a target DNAI based on current location information of a terminal and the one or more local DNAIs, where the target DNAI is used to select a local session management network element for the terminal.
IN AND RELATING TO MULTI-USIM IN MOBILE TELECOMMUNICATION ENVIRONMENT
A method and an apparatus with multi-universal subscriber identity module (MUSIM) capability in wireless communication system. A service request procedure is initiated in case that a user equipment (UE) does not have allowed network slice selection assistance information (NSSAI) and an associated trigger is related to a MUSIM feature.
