SESSION RECOVERY FROM DEDICATED BEARER FAILURE
Techniques and systems for recovering a communication session from a dedicated bearer failure are disclosed. For example, a P-CSCF node can determine that a dedicated bearer associated with a communication session has failed, and, in response, send a SIP message to a UE associated with the communication session, the SIP message causing the UE to refrain from sending SIP requests using a SIP INVITE method. The process may further include identifying a first network node associated with an identifier of the UE, the first network node comprising one of a PGW or a SMF, and sending an instruction to the first network node to dissociate the dedicated bearer from the communication session. This causes a new attach procedure to be performed by the UE to recover the session without session failure.
SLEEP WAKEUP METHODS FOR DISCONTINUOUS COVERAGE IN NON-TERRESTRIAL NETWORK
Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for resuming communications with a non-terrestrial network in discontinuous coverage. A method that may be performed by a user equipment (UE) includes determining that the UE is or will be in an out-of-coverage state with a non-terrestrial network (NTN) for a first duration; entering a power saving state in response to the determination; exiting the power saving state when the UE expects to be in an in-coverage state with the NTN; and taking one or more actions to resume communications with the NTN.

RADIO ACCESS NETWORK NOTIFICATION AREA SELECTION AND PAGING BASED ON TRAVEL INFORMATION
A system includes a user equipment (UE) traveling at least at a predetermined velocity. The UE is in RRC_INACTIVE state since time T. The system further includes at least a first base station and a second base station. The first base station receives an RRC_INACTIVE state message from the UE. The RRC_INACTIVE state message includes a location and a velocity of the UE, and a time-lapse, which is an elapsed duration since T. In response to a paging message from a core network, the first base station predicts a location of the UE. In response to the UE being within range of the first base station, the first base station sends the paging message to the UE. In response to the UE being within range of the second base station, the first base station sends a request to the second base station to send the paging message to the UE.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PROVIDING NETWORK-BASED CONTROL OF FIXED WIRELESS SERVICES
A device may create a list of identifiers for base stations that support a fixed wireless service for a user device. The device may receive a first identifier of a first base station associated with a first attach request of the user device. The device may enable the fixed wireless service for the first base station for the user device when the first identifier is included in the list of identifiers. The device may disable the fixed wireless service for the first base station for the user device when the first identifier is not included in the list of identifiers.

De-prioritizing LTE anchor cell based on NR cell measurements
Systems and methods are disclosed for de-prioritizing an LTE anchor cell based on NR cell measurements. A UE may register on a first cell of a first Radio Access Technology (RAT), process a configuration message from a network prioritizing an anchor band of the first RAT, perform a first cell reselection from the first cell to a second cell of the first RAT that is in the anchor band, and perform cell measurements on one or more cells of a second RAT. In response to determining that none of the cell measurements for the one or more cells of the second RAT exceeds a threshold, the UE de-prioritizes the second cell in ranked cell prioritization data and performs a second cell reselection from the second cell of the first RAT to another cell of the first RAT based on the ranked cell prioritization data.

Connecting a Remote User Equipment to a Cellular Network
There is provided a performed by a first node for use in connecting a remote user equipment (UE) to a cellular network. An identity of the remote UE is acquired (102). A cryptographic function is applied (104) to the identity of the remote UE to generate a string identity for the remote UE. The string identity for the remote UE is stored (106) in a memory with the identity of the remote UE for use in connecting the remote UE to the cellular network via a relay UE connected to the cellular network.
