Systems and methods for providing a notification system architecture
Systems, methods, and computer-readable storage media providing highly scalable and fault tolerant notification systems are disclosed. Disclosed notification systems may be configured to: receive a plurality of notification requests including message content and recipient information, which may be allocated to at least one notification engine for processing. A notification engine may be configured to: generate a plurality of attempts corresponding to notification requests allocated for processing by the first notification engine and assign each generated attempt to a particular attempt queue. A plurality of connectors may be configured to: select a set of attempts for transmission from the plurality of attempt queues, transmit the set of attempts via at least one communication network. One or more databases may be provided to store status information associated with processing of notification requests by the first notification engine.
DATA TRANSMISSION METHOD AND NETWORK DEVICE
Provided are a method for transmitting data and a network device, which are applied to a terminal device in an inactive state, the inactive state referring to that both the terminal device and a first network device retain context information of the terminal device and that the communication connection of the terminal device between the first network device and a core network device is maintained. The method comprises: the first network device sending downlink data for the terminal device to the terminal device by means of a second network device, the first network device being different from the second network device. With the method of the embodiments of the present invention, the downlink data is sent by means of the second network device, which may effectively improve the success rate of data transmission and improve the user experience.

User equipment, base station, and method for paging
The present invention discloses a method for paging performed at user equipment (UE). The method comprises: receiving, from a base station via a system information block (SIB), paging control channel (PCCH) configuration information for one or a plurality of non-anchor carriers available for receiving a paging message (S101); applying the received PCCH configuration information to the one or plurality of the non-anchor carriers (S102); and receiving a paging message on at least one non-anchor carrier according to PCCH configuration information for the at least one of the one or plurality of the non-anchor carriers (S103). The present invention also discloses a corresponding method for paging performed at a base station, as well as corresponding UE and base station.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PAGING PROCEDURES IN NEW RADIO (NR)
Methods and apparatuses are described herein for paging procedures in wireless systems. For example, a wireless transmit receive unit (WTRU) may monitor one or more physical downlink control channels (PDCCHs) for paging resources associated with a first subset of synchronization signal (SS) blocks that corresponds to a first beam tracking area (BTA). On a condition that at least one measurement of at least one beam associated with the first subset of SS blocks is less than a predetermined threshold, the WTRU may transmit, to a base station (BS), a signal indicating a second BTA that is associated with a second subset of SS blocks. The signal includes a physical random access channel (PRACH) resource associated with a second group of SS blocks that corresponds to the second BTA.
Telecommunications apparatus and methods
A paging method in a wireless telecommunications system. A core network element selects a base station from plural base stations including a tracking area to have primary responsibility for paging a terminal device and conveys an indication of the terminal device to the selected base station. Each base station maintains a paging database identifying one or more terminal devices for which it has a responsibility for paging. When a terminal device is to be paged, the core network element transmits a paging request to the plural base stations including the tracking area. The respective base stations then determine whether to onward transmit a paging message for the terminal device based on a comparison between an identifier for the terminal device being paged with entries in their paging database, and if the comparison indicates it has responsibility for paging the terminal device, it will transmit a paging message accordingly.
PAGING RELATED METHODS AND APPARATUS
A base station generates, e.g., based on current UE and current system information, a UE specific paging priority list for an idle or inactive mode UE identifying a set of (small cell base) stations which are to be used to subsequently page the UE. The base station communicates the paging priority list to the UE in a radio resource control release message. In some embodiments, the release message further conveys information indicating a maximum paging monitoring duration and/or a maximum number of paging cells to be monitored. The UE receives the release message and transitions into idle or inactive mode. The UE uses the communicated information to perform efficient paging, identifying which small cells are potential sources of a paging signal, and determine how long to monitor for a paging signal.
Method and device for altering tracking area on basis of mobility of terminal
Provided are a method by which an access and mobility function (AMF) in a wireless communication system selectively alters a tracking area set, and a device supporting the method. The method may comprise the steps of: receiving a plurality of tracking area sets from a base station; receiving, from the base station, information about the mobility of a terminal; and selecting any one tracking area set that corresponds to the received terminal mobility information.
