Local IMS selection for trusted network operators
11617079 · 2023-03-28 · ·

A first carrier may support inbound roaming requests for subscribers of a trusted second carrier. For example, the first carrier may receive an inbound roaming request from a UE. The first carrier may determine a second carrier that is a home carrier of the UE is a trusted carrier associated with the first carrier. In response, an IMS procedure associated with the UE may be performed including communicating, by a first CSCF node of the first carrier, with a first HSS of the second carrier, using a same protocol as used by the first CSCF node to communicate with a second HSS of the first carrier and communicating, by the first CSCF node, with a first AS of the second carrier, using a same protocol as used by the first CSCF node to communicate with a second AS of the first carrier.

COMMUNICATION SYSTEM, COMMUNICATION TERMINAL, AND NETWORK

A communication system includes a communication terminal, and a plurality of networks configured to perform radio communication with the communication terminal. A priority of at least one of a paging timing and a paging type is assigned to a paging to be transmitted from each of the plurality of networks. The communication terminal selects a corresponding one of the pagings to be received, based on the priority.

METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR PERFORMING PAGING OPERATIONS IN A 5G NETWORK

Embodiments herein provide methods and systems for performing paging operation in 5G communication networks. The 5G core network can transmit a NAS message to a UE through a N3GPP access network, if the UE is reachable through the N3GPP access network. The NAS message can be sent by the 5G core network to the N3IWF. The N3IWF can send the NAS message to the UE, through the N3GPP access network. The UE can send a service request over 3GPP access, in response to the NAS message, to the 5G core network, through a 5G RAN. If the UE is not having access to the 5G RAN, then the UE can transmit a notification response message to the 5G core network, indicating the inability to transmit a service request. The transmission of NAS message through the N3IWF can lead to a significant saving of radio resources.

Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, obtaining media content from a media content server over a mobile network, and providing the media content to a communication device over a first direct communication link. Embodiments include detecting a mobility event associated with the mobile network, and providing a notification message to a first network device associated with the mobile network. Further embodiments can include obtaining instructions from the first network device, wherein the instructions indicate to provide a mobility event notification. Other embodiments are disclosed.

MOBILE TERMINATING INFORMATION DELIVERY FOR MULITPLE USIM UE

A method performed by a UE having multiple USIMs is provided. The method includes registering the UE in a first PLMN. The method includes moving the UE into a CM-connected state in the first PLMN. The method includes setting up a PDU session in the first PLMN. The method includes using a DNS, via the PDU session in the first PLMN, to select a N3IWF in a second PLMN. The method includes accessing the N3IWF via IP connectivity provided by the first PLMN and initiating a registration procedure with an AMF node in the second PLMN using the N3IWF, the UE indicating that the AMF node shall only use N3IFW for NAS notifications after registration. The method includes completing the registration procedure to register with the second PLMN. The method includes setting up a PDU session with a SMF node in the second PLMN without user plane resources.

PAGING NOTIFICATION MANAGEMENT IN A WIRELESS NETWORK
20230063336 · 2023-03-02 ·

A wireless network environment includes user equipment. A communication management resource in the user equipment establishes a wireless communication link between the user equipment and a first wireless station. The first wireless station provides the user equipment access to a remote network. Based on operating conditions of the user equipment, the communication management resource initiates execution of a paging notification retrieval function on the user equipment to retrieve paging notifications. Via the executed function (such as an application executed on the user equipment), and one or more request messages for paging notifications, the communication management resource communicates with a remote entity to retrieve the paging notifications.

A wireless communication device and a wireless communication method capable of curbing occurrence of latency even when performing wireless communication at predetermined time intervals are provided. MIDI data is transmitted and received by communication (B) performed through a wireless module during an intermission between communications (A) performed at predetermined time intervals through the wireless module. Accordingly, a communication speed for wireless communication is improved. Therefore, compared to a case in which wireless communication is performed by only the communication (A), MIDI data can be quickly transmitted and received, and thus occurrence of latency can be curbed.
