Methods, apparatuses and systems for micro-sleep operation in shared spectrum
Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A base station may determine a configuration including a set of signature waveforms for a micro-sleep mode of operation in shared spectrum, and may transmit the configuration to at least one user equipment (UE) served by the base station. Additionally, a UE may receive a configuration including a set of signature waveforms for a micro-sleep mode of operation in shared spectrum. The UE may detect at least one signature waveform of the set of signature waveforms, and in response to detecting the at least one signature waveform, operate in the micro-sleep mode for a period of time.
Indicating a reference signal transmission prior to RMSI PDCCH transmission
Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a physical broadcast channel (PBCH) communication from a base station (BS). The UE may identify, based at least in part on a determination that the PBCH communication indicates a reference signal that is to be transmitted prior to transmission of a remaining minimum system information (RMSI) physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) communication, one or more radio resources in which the reference signal is to be transmitted. The UE may monitor for the reference signal, from the BS, in the one or more radio resources prior to reception of the RMSI PDCCH communication. Numerous other aspects are provided.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR COMMUNICATING IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
The present disclosure relates to a 5G or a pre-5G communication system for supporting a higher data rate following 4G communication systems such as LTE. In accordance with an embodiment of the present disclosure, a method of a base station includes: checking an operation mode depending on whether beam sweeping is supported, transmitting a signal related to the operation mode to a terminal, and performing communication with the terminal according to the operation mode.
Preamble Sequence Transmission Method, Apparatus, and System
Embodiments of the present invention provide a preamble sequence transmission method, apparatus, and system. The method includes: acquiring system information or a physical broadcast channel (PBCH) that is broadcast by a base station, wherein the system information or the PBCH comprises a preset physical random access channel (PRACH) that comprises m preset radio frames and a number of repetition times of a preamble sequence n, which is used for random access, m being a positive integer and wherein 1≦n≦10 m; and sending the preamble sequence to the base station, the preamble sequence being sent at n preset resource locations of the preset PRACH, where the preamble sequence is the format of 1 ms, or the format of 2 ms, or the format of 3 ms.
Configuring Wireless Communications Resources
A base station, in a wireless communications system, configures first resources for data access from devices to said base station, said first resources allowing a cyclic prefix having a first length; and configures second resources for data access from devices to said base station, said second resources allowing a cyclic prefix having a second length longer than the first (a) length. The base station transmits configuration information regarding the configured resources to at least one device. The first resources allow at least data having a first data period and a cyclic prefix having the first length to be received in a first period having a first predetermined duration; and the second resources allow at least data having a second data period and a cyclic prefix having the second length to be received in a second period having the second predetermined duration, and the second predetermined duration is an integer multiple of the first predetermined duration.
SERVICE BASED CELL RE-SELECTION
A first network node of a first frequency layer, acquires (201) information on services that are offered by a second network node at a second, different frequency layer. The second network node is within the coverage area of the first network node. The first network node broadcasts (202) a service advertisement message to at least one terminal device (UE) for advertising the services offered by the second network node at the second frequency layer.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR COVERAGE ENHANCEMENTS OF BROADCAST CHANNELS
A base station transmits and a UE detects broadcast information when the UE operates in a Coverage Enhancement (CE) mode. The base station transmits repetitions of signaling conveying broadcast information in one or more subframes of each frame in a quadruple of frames. The transmission is intermittent in time. To detect the broadcast information, the UE blindly combines and decodes the repetitions of signaling assuming their existence. The base station informs the pattern for the intermittent transmissions of the signaling to UEs connected to the base station or to other base stations.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR CANCELLING INTER-CELL INTERFERENCE IN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
The present disclosure relates to an apparatus and method for canceling and/or suppressing inter-cell interference in a wireless communication. The method includes: establishing a Radio Resource Control (RRC) connection with a base station through a first serving cell; receiving, at a User Equipment (UE), an RRC message through the first serving cell, the RRC message comprising cell-specific reference signal (CRS) information of a neighbor cell and Physical Downlink Shared Channel (PDSCH) information of the neighbor cell, and the PDSCH information of the neighbor cell comprising a parameter relating to a power ratio of a CRS of the neighbor cell and a PDSCH of the neighbor cell; receiving the PDSCH through the first serving cell; performing a channel estimation for retrieving data from a PDSCH of the first serving cell; and retrieving the data from the PDSCH of the first serving cell based on the second channel estimation.
Multicast feedback based on acknowledgment transmissions
Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A set of uplink control channel resources that are configured for acknowledgment transmissions may be shared among user equipments (UEs) that are enabled to receive multicast communications. Each of the shared set of uplink control channel resources may be associated with set(s) of channel state information. UEs may measure a multicast channel to determine channel state information for the multicast channel. After failing to receive a multicast transmission, UEs may transmit an acknowledgment feedback message over one of the shared uplink control channel resources that is associated with the set of channel state information determined by the UE. A base station that receives the acknowledgment feedback message may transmit a multicast retransmission for the UEs using transmission parameters that are adapted for the set(s) of channel state information associated with the occupied uplink control channel resource.
