A wireless communication apparatus, system or method utilizing directional data transmission over a communication (e.g., mmW) band, and broadcasting time and directional allocations in each direction. Stations transmit beacons containing time, directional allocations and unallocated slots in their direction of transmission. Stations comparing beam identifications with received allocation to determine if the allocation is in the direction of reception. Stations performing receiver beamforming with a station from which a beacon was received in order to determine if the station can access the direction (channel) in its intended direction.

MULTI-LINK AGGREGATION

A multi-link device (MLD) in a wireless local area network (WLAN) system is proposed. The MLD may include an access point (AP) MLD. The AP MLD may receive receiving, from a non-simultaneous transmit and receive (Non-STR) station (STA) MLD, a multilink aggregation request signal through a first link. The multilink aggregation request signal may include first information related to a second link for which aggregation is requested and second information related to a transmission opportunity (TXOP) to be set in the second link. The AP MLD may obtain the TXOP based on the second information in the second link. The AP MLD may transmit, to the Non-STR STA MLD, a first multilink aggregation response signal through the first link and a second multilink aggregation response signal through the second link.

Signalling Channel Access Parameters for Uplink Transmissions

A wireless device (30) receives control information (28) that jointly encodes respective values for two or more channel access parameters. The two or more channel access parameters govern performance by the wireless device (30) of a listen-before-talk, LBT, procedure prior to an uplink transmission (32) in a radio resource allocation (34). In some embodiments, a mapping (40) maps different indices to different combinations of values for the two or more channel access parameters. In this case, the control information (28) may comprise an index mapped by the mapping (40) to one of the different combinations of values for the two or more channel access parameters. Regardless, the wireless device (30) may perform the LBT procedure (or not) according to the received control information (28).

MULTIPLE ACCESS POINT UPLINK ORTHOGONAL FREQUENCY-DIVISION MULTIPLE ACCESS BASED RANDOM ACCESS

Method and apparatus for supporting simultaneous MultiUser (MU) Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) operations utilizing Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) with Uplink OFDMA Random Access (UORA). Access Points (APs) trigger and obtain short PPDUs from the stations to learn spatial filtering patterns that are utilized in adjusting antenna phase differences to obtain minimum/maximum energy from this BSR. The APs determine favored and unfavored directions of communication, which are conveyed to non-AP UORA stations as channel estimation signals. The UORA stations base broadcasting on strengths of channel estimation signals to determine eligible UORA resource units. The UORA procedure to secondary APs allows a primary AP to trigger a UL-MU MIMO transmission with the number of spatial streams exceeding the number of antennas at the primary AP.
