NETWORK ICON DISPLAY METHOD AND DEVICE
20230239393 · 2023-07-27 ·

This application provides a network icon display method and device, and relate to the field of electronic technologies. The method comprises: A terminal device is connected to a long term evolution LTE cell and a new radio NR cell by using a dual connectivity technology, and the LTE cell supports a non-standalone NSA networking mode. The terminal device displays a 5G network icon. After disconnecting from the NR cell, the terminal device enters a 4G connected mode. If the terminal device meets a preset condition, the terminal device sends first request information to a network side device, where the first request information is used to request to release the connection between the terminal device and the LTE cell. In response to releasing the connection between the terminal device and the LTE cell, the terminal device enters a 4G idle mode, and displays the 5G network icon.

CHO IN DC (DUAL CONNECTIVITY)
20230007553 · 2023-01-05 ·

A method performed by a User Equipment (UE) for handling a Conditional Handover (CHO) from a first cell to a second cell in a wireless communications network. The UE is served by a Master Node (MN), in the first cell and by a Secondary Node (SN) in a third cell. The UE receives a CHO configuration from the first network node acting as the MN. The CHO configuration includes an indication to release configurations of any one or more out of: Multi Radio Access Technology Dual Connectivity (MR-DC), and SN terminated bearers. Upon execution of the CHO according to the CHO configuration, the UE releases the MR-DC configuration and/or a configuration for SN terminated bearers.

METHODS AND APPARATUSES FOR A MRO MECHANISM OF AN INTER-RAT HANDOVER PROCEDURE
20230239750 · 2023-07-27 ·

Embodiments of the present application relate to methods and apparatuses for a mobility robustness optimization (MRO) mechanism of an inter-radio access technology (RAT) handover procedure. According to an embodiment of the present application, a method can include: receiving a mobility command message from a source new radio (NR) cell, wherein the mobility command message includes an identifier (ID) of a target cell, and the target cell is at least one of an evolved universal terrestrial radio access network (E-UTRAN) cell and an universal terrestrial radio access network (UTRAN) cell; determining whether a timer for initiating failure recovery based on triggering a measurement report (e.g., timer T312) is running; and in response to the timer being running, stopping the timer. Furthermore, radio link failure report (RLF) information is transmitted to a network in response to the failure of Inter-RAT handover from NR to E-UTRAN and UTRAN.
