COMMUNICATION METHOD AND APPARATUS
A communication method for transmitting multicast data by using a same multicast user plane function (UPF) includes: a first session management function (SMF) obtains forwarding configuration information or quality of service (QoS) context information of multicast data, and sends, to a second SMF, first path information for establishing a transmission path for multicast data transmission between a multicast UPF and a unicast UPF, or second path information for establishing a transmission path between the multicast UPF and an access network device.
CONFIGURATION SYSTEM FOR A WIRELESS COMMUNICATION NETWORK
The application relates to a configuration system (100) for a wireless communication network (102) that comprises at least one first communication device (104b) and at least one second communication device (104c). The at least one first and second communication devices (104b, 104c) belong to a plurality of communication devices (104, 104a, 104b, 104c, 104d). Each communication device (104, 104a, 104b, 104c, 104d) in the plurality of the communication devices is a radio node device configured to provide a bi-directional radio communication with at least one of the plurality of the communication devices. After receiving (220) a content of a network persistent configuration data (CO) from a communication device (104a) belonging to the plurality of the communication devices and storing (222) the received content of the configuration data, each first communication device (104b) is configured to broadcast (224) a configuration data description (DE), which comprises a version identifier (VE) of the configuration data, periodically in the network for indicating a capability of said first communication device to send (228) the stored content of the configuration data, which is in accordance with the version identifier, on request.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR HANDLING MULTIMEDIA BROADCAST MULTICAST SERVICES (MBMS) IN WIRELESS NETWORK
Methods for handling Media-based Modulation (MBM) in a wireless network (1000) by a Mission Critical (MC) Gateway (GW) User Equipment (UE) (300) are provided. The method includes storing information associated with an identifier at the MC gateway UE (300) in response to receiving an MC gateway Multimedia Broadcast Multicast Services (MBMS) bearer announcement from an MC client (100). The MC gateway UE (300) uses the identifier and the information to activate for monitoring the MBMS bearer by the MC gateway UE (300). Further, the method includes sending an MBMS listening status report to the MC client (100) based on the MC GW MBMS bearer announcement. Further, the method includes establishing a communication channel with the MC client (100) based on a parameter to receive an MC service data from the MC gateway UE (300), where the MC gateway UE (300) forwards the MC service data to the MC client (100).

Paging message transmission method and apparatus
A paging message transmission method and apparatus are described. The method can include sending, by an access network device, a first paging message to a terminal device on a first paging occasion, where the first paging message comprises a first identifier and a preset time point for sending a second paging message, the first identifier indicates the first paging message is a short message, and the second paging message is a message for terminal paging. Power saving for pedestrian user equipments
Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A first user equipment (UE), such as a pedestrian UE, may perform a discovery procedure with a second UE in a vehicle-to-everything (V2X) wireless communications environment that includes multiple other UEs in addition to the first UE and the second UE. The second UE may, for example, be a roadside UE configured to aggregate V2X messages for the first UE. The first UE may determine, based on performing the discovery procedure, a schedule for the first UE to use to receive bundled V2X messages from the second UE. The first UE may receive, from the second UE based on the determined schedule, a message indicating bundled information from multiple V2X messages received at the second UE from the multiple UEs.
