System and method for managing access point functionality and configuration
A system for managing access point functionally and configuration includes a server that is coupled to a computer network and configured to communicate with an access point via the computer network. The access point is configured to couple a mobile device to the computer network by providing a wireless link between the mobile device and the access point. The access point is further configured to produce a status point regarding the access point and the server is configured to receive the status report from the access point following a trigger event at the access point. In other examples, the server is further configured to transmit a response message and/or a configuration file to the access point in response to the status report that is received at the server. Communication method
A method of transmitting data from a first device. The method comprises: at the first device, establishing a connection with a first one of a plurality of second devices and establishing a first virtual connection, the first virtual connection being between the first device and a third device through the first one of a plurality of second devices; and receiving details of a second virtual connection, the second virtual connection being between a fourth device and the third device through a second one of the plurality of second devices, the fourth device being connected to the first device. The method further comprises selecting one of said first or second virtual connections for transmission of a data packet to said third device and transmitting data to said third device using said selected connection.
DYNAMIC FUNCTIONAL PARTITIONING FOR WiFi PROTECTED ACCESS 2 (WPA2) PASS-THROUGH VIRTUAL NETWORK FUNCTION (VNF)
A service provider (SP) network device or system can operate to enable a WiFi protected access 2 (WPA2) pass-through with a user equipment (UE) and further define various partitions between a physical access point (pAP) and a virtual AP (vAP) according to one or more VNFs based on one or more communication link parameters (e.g., latency). The WPA2 pass-through can be an interface connection that passes through a computer premise equipment (CPE) or wireless residential gateway (GW) without the CPE or GW modifying or affecting the data traffic such as by authentication or security protocol. The SP network device can receive traffic data from a UE through or via the WPA 2 pass-through from a UE of a community Wi-Fi network at a home, residence, or entity network.
MULTI-LINE MOBILE SERVICE WITH DYNAMIC MSISDN ASSOCIATION
A network device receives a location update message from a mobile network switch. The location update message indicates that a mobile device is registered with the mobile network switch. The location update message includes an international mobile subscriber identity (IMSI) associated with the mobile device. The network device determines, based at least on the IMSI, a plurality of MSISDNs associated with the mobile device, including a first MSISDN that is enabled for calling and a second MSISDN that is not enabled for calling. The network device transmits, in response to the location update message, subscriber data to a database associated with the mobile network switch, which associates the IMSI with the first MSISDN.

A method and device for accessing and obtaining user equipment (UE) context and UE identity are provided. The method for access includes: when a UE accesses a System Architecture Evolution (SAE) network, judging, by a network node, whether a Globally Unique Mobility Management Entity Identifier (GUMMEI) carried by the UE or a Mobility Management Entity Group Identity (MMEGI) in the GUMMEI is allocated or mapped by the SAE network; if the GUMMEI or MMEGI is allocated by the SAE network, selecting, by the network node, a Mobility Management Entity (MME) according to the GUMMEIA network device includes an identity attribute obtaining module and a network resource node allocation module. Therefore, the access of the UE is achieved.

Relay service is enabled between a residential gateway and a remote user. For example, a 5G residential gateway (5G-RG) may include a relay user equipment (UE) to enable relay service for a 5G core (5GC)-capable UE behind the 5G-RG to connect to the 5GC. The relay UE of the 5G-RG may provide a trusted/untrusted non-3GPP access network for L2 or L3 transport connection to the 5GC-capable UE.

The server determines that the first wireless signal source is moving. The server determines that the first wireless signal source is associated with a public transit route upon determining that the signal source information satisfies one or more selection criteria. The server stores information associating the first wireless signal source with the public transit route as transit movement data corresponding to the public transit route.
