Induction hob with boiling detection and induction energy control, method for heating food with an induction hob and computer program product
An induction cooking hob and a method for heating food as well as a computer program product are disclosed. Based on information of a micro-electromechanical system (1500) in combination with a temperature sensor associated to a heating zone, vibrations can be detected and a heating zone associated with the boiling substance can be properly discriminated from one supporting a pot having a non-boiling substance in it. Subsequent simmering of the substance can be automatically effected. An indication will be provided to a user (1680), and an automated function can be started (1610) including boiling and subsequent simmering, respectively indication of a boiling substance on any of the heating zones on an induction hob (1000).

A heating element is provided to heat the muffle wall, with a first sensor unit detecting a temperature of the muffle wall.
COOKING HOB HAVING HEATING ZONES WITH DIFFERENT TEMPERATURES
The present invention relates to a cooking hob for a domestic or an industrial appliance. The cooking hob comprises at least one heating area (10). The heating area (10) is subdivided or divisible into at least two adjacent heating zones (12, 14, 16). Each heating zone (12, 14, 16) includes at least one heating element (20, 22, 24, 26). The temperature of each heating zone (12, 14, 16) is separately adjusted or adjustable by the user or predefined by the producer. A cookware item (18) is placeable on one heating zone (12, 14, 16) or on more adjacent heating zones (12, 14, 16).
SENSOR DEVICE, INDUCTION HEATING DEVICE, AND COOKING SYSTEM
A sensor device, induction heating device, and cooking system including, in the sensor device, a first temperature sensor, a second temperature sensor, a communication interface, and a processor. The first temperature sensor measures a temperature of a food being in a cooking vessel on the induction heating device. The second temperature sensor measures an internal temperature of the sensor device. The communication interface transmits the data to the induction heating device to control cooking. The processor controls the communication interface to transmit the data the induction heating device.
Sensor and control systems for food preparation
A temperature-regulating unit includes a base, a thermal element, a contactless sensing assembly, and a controller. The base is configured to support at least one of a pan or a food product. The thermal element is positioned to thermally regulate the at least one of the pan or the food product. The contactless sensing assembly is positioned to acquire sensor data regarding the at least one of the pan or the food product. The controller is configured to receive the sensor data from the contactless sensing assembly and adaptively control the thermal element based on the sensor data.
Multi-coil induction warming system
An induction heating system includes a power inverter, an induction circuit, and a control circuit. The power inverter includes one or more transistors configured to receive a direct current (DC) input and produce an alternating current (AC) output. The induction circuit includes at least one working coil configured to receive the AC output and produce a first magnetic field, wherein the first magnetic field interacts with a ferrous material to generate heat in the ferrous material. The control circuit includes a processor and memory. The memory having instructions stored thereon that, when executed by the processor, cause the control circuit to receive an input, from a user, indicating a temperature set point, measure an inductance of the induction circuit, determine a resonant frequency of the induction circuit based on the inductance, and control the one or more transistors of the power inverter based on the resonant frequency and the temperature set point.
TEMPERATURE SENSING ASSEMBLY FOR A COOKTOP APPLIANCE
A cooktop appliance includes a cooktop panel defining a cooktop surface and an aperture defined through the cooktop surface. A heating element is positioned below the cooktop panel for selectively heating a cooking utensil placed on the cooktop surface and a temperature sensing assembly is configured for monitoring the temperature of the cooking utensil, e.g., to facilitate a closed loop cooking process. The temperature sensing assembly includes a temperature sensor slidably mounted within the aperture of the cooktop panel and a drive member operably coupled to the temperature sensor for selectively moving the temperature sensor between the extended position and the retracted position.
HEATER FOR ELECTRIC STOVETOP HEATER UNIT
A heater for a stovetop heater unit is disclosed. The heater may reduce false detections of an overheat condition, minimize an impact of radiative heat from a heating element of the heater on temperature measurements of the heater, and accurately measure a temperature of an object placed on the heater. Thus, the heater may reduce an amount of time required to heat an object placed on the heater.
Food preparation apparatus with electrical PTC thermistors connected in parallel
