Conversion Assembly for a Hard Hat
A conversion assembly is secured to a hard hat having a protective dome cover and a visor. The conversion assembly includes a plurality of compartment housings operatively secured together. A plurality of electronic circuits is housed within the plurality of compartment housings. A mechanical connector removably secures the conversion assembly to the hard hat when functions performed by the plurality of electronic circuits are required for a person wearing the hard hat. The invention provides enhanced functionality to an already existing hard hat, helmet or other protective head gear.
HELMET ASSEMBLY
A helmet cover system includes a helmet cover having connected fasteners to removably fasten the cover to a helmet. The cover may include an elongated bar positioned along a front edge of the cover, wherein the elongated bar is attachable to a front mount connected to the helmet. The elongated bar may be held to the cover by one or more loops of the cover. The cover may leave an accessory mounting portion of the front mount exposed for use.
SHELL, KIT, HELMET AND METHODS OF MANUFACTURE OF A SHELL
A shell configured to be detachably attached to the outside of a helmet hard shell, the shell comprising: a first region; a second region; and a plurality of openings, each of the plurality of openings extending from a first side to a second side of the shell; wherein the plurality of openings are arranged along a boundary between the first region and the second region.
Eight Point Military Utility Cover
The device herein disclosed and described provides an eight point military utility cover that does not require pressing to maintain its shape. The utility cover has a cup shaped crown portion, an outer circular rim portion, an inner circular rim portion and a semi-rigid bill portion. The crown portion is prepared from a first piece and a second piece of cloth, wherein a plurality of semi-rigid material sections are adhered to the first piece of cloth; one section on the front, one section on the back, three sections on the left side and three sections on the right side. The second piece of cloth is adhered to the plurality of semi-rigid material sections on the first piece of cloth forming a three layered sheet. This three layered sheet is folded into the cup-shaped crown and the folds are stitched to maintain the cup-shape of the crown.
METHOD FOR APPLYING PATCHES TO HELMET COVERS
A template made of plexiglass or similar material is inserted into a cover for a protective helmet so that the cover is stretched and once the template is inserted the assembled combination of the cover and the template is oval-shaped. The oval-shaped assembly is placed on top of the bottom plate of a heat press. A layer with a decal or sticker is placed on top of the oval-shaped assembly. A heat press cover sheet is then placed on top of the oval-shaped assembly so that it also becomes into contact with the top plate of the heat press when the heat press is closed. The heat press may be set to a temperature of at least 350 degrees Fahrenheit and it can be set in a closed position for at least 10 seconds in order to transfer sufficient heat so that the decal or sticker is applied or affixed to the cover surface.
Wireform Attachment Mechanism
A wireform attachment mechanism, or support arm, that can be used to attach an earcup to a helmet. The outer end of the support arm can be opened to release the earcup, or closed to clamp onto the earcup.
Headgear system that includes easily coupled cap and outer head covering and that helps to protect against vision obstruction
A head covering system comprises a cap as an inner component and an outer head covering that cooperate to help protect the head from the elements but helps to protect against vision obstruction when the head is moved. A headgear system comprises a cap having a head engaging portion and a visor that engages and moves with the head of the user. An outer covering fits over the cap and at least a portion of the head of the user comprises head covering portion, an optionally a neck covering portion, and a bill attached to the head covering portion.
Disposable absorbent visor pads and method of use
A disposable absorbent pad is removably attachable to the upper surface of the visor of a helmet, hardhat, cap or other headgear. The pads are made in various sizes, shapes and colors to conform to the visors to which they may be applied. Their obverse sides consist of a high-capacity absorbent material, while their reverse sides contain an adhesive strip, for hard visor surfaces, or hook-and-loop strips, for fabric visors. The pads prevent liquid/moisture from dripping off the visor into the face and eyes of the wearer and are disposably replaceable after each use.
Protective band for ballistic helmets
A protective circular band assembly for helmets. The assembly includes a front portion, two side portions and one back portion as a single structure, wherein the front portion and back portion are curved from a top surface to form a curve wherein the two side portions are configured to adjust circumference of the assembly for different size helmets.
PROTECTIVE HELMET
A protective helmet including a visor attached to the external sides of the helmet shell and a catch strip running along a top portion of the visor, spanning at least a portion of the visor. The catch strip protrudes from the visor such that it can prevent a cloth helmet cover from easily sliding off the helmet.
