SILICA FIBER HEMOSTATIC DEVICES AND METHODS
Embodiments of the invention include hemostatic compositions, delivery devices, kits, and methods utilizing silica fibers or other silica fiber compositions. The fiber compositions may be formed via electrospinning of a sol gel produced with a silicon alkoxide reagent, such as tetraethyl ortho silicate, alcohol solvent, and an acid catalyst.
METHOD OF HARVESTING AND PROCESSING SOFT TISSUE AND KIT THEREFOR
A method for autologous soft tissue transfer and a single use surgical kit are provided. The method includes harvesting soft tissue with a tumescent fluid and filtering the harvested soft tissue to obtain a drained aspirate. The single use surgical kit includes at least one syringe, at least one infiltration cannula, at least one aspiration cannula, and at least one tissue filter. The infiltration cannula has a spiral hole array.
FAT SUCTION AND GRAFT SYRINGE HAVING NEGATIVE PRESSURE ADJUSTMENT MEANS
The present invention relates to a fat suction and graft syringe, and more specifically, to a fat suction and graft syringe having a negative pressure adjustment means, wherein a negative pressure state in a barrel can be maintained during a procedure only by pulling and releasing a plunger, and only by slightly rotating the plunger, the plunger can be pushed inside the barrel without being constrained by a multi-level holding plate and a single-surface rotation clip, whereby the syringe has enhanced convenience in the use and production thereof so that many practitioners accustomed to using a normal syringe can easily use the syringe without separately learning how to manipulate the syringe.
HARVESTING CANCELLOUS BONE AND MARROW FROM INTRAMEDULLARY CANAL FORMED IN MEDULLARY CAVITY USING BONE PRESS APPARATUS
Methods of harvesting cancellous bone and bone marrow include extracting loosened cancellous bone and bone marrowincluding a liquid component thereofto a collection container that has a first cup and a suction port to which a suction source is connected. After extraction, the suction source is disconnected and a lid of the collection container is removed and replaced with a lid having a plunger with a press head that is configured to filter the extracted liquid by depressing the plunger toward a bottom of the first cup. The filtered liquid is poured through a suction port into a second cup while depressing the plunger, thereby separating the liquid from a semi-solid mass of cancellous bone that remains. The bone is extracted through a cortical opening in the femur, tibia, or calcaneus, or from an intermedullary canal that is preferably formed by reaming of the tibia using an orthopedic reamer.
HARVESTING CANCELLOUS BONE AND MARROW FROM DISTAL FEMUR, PROXIMAL TIBIA, DISTAL TIBIA, OR CALCANEUS USING BONE PRESS APPARATUS

BLADDER IRRIGATION TOOL
A tool is attachable to a bladder irrigation catheter. A body supports multiple fluid pathways between each of the catheter, a supply of irrigation fluid and a waste fluid collector. A syringe or other pressure and vacuum applicator accesses the pathways and powers irrigation flow. A supply port and intake port are connected to a supply pathway leading to the applicator. Similarly, a drain port and discharge port are connected to a drain pathway leading to the applicator. The supply pathway and drain pathway can be selectively blocked so that action of the applicator only drives supply or drain irrigation action. Check valves are located to provide proper fluid flow direction. Bypasses between the supply port and intake port and between the drain port and discharge port can be activated to bypass the supply pathway and drain pathway and allow for gravity flow bladder irrigation through the tool.
MANUALLY ACTIVATED NEGATIVE PRESSURE THERAPY SYSTEM WITH PRESSURE SENSORS
Negative-pressure therapy systems and methods can implement a feedback module within a pump which includes multiple sensors and fluid passageway(s). Another aspect of a negative-pressure therapy system and method include a feedback module including multiple pressure sensors and/or an electrical circuit within a manually-operably pump where the module is located between a compressible end cap or inlet nozzle and a charging chamber. A further negative-pressure therapy system and method provide a pump coupled to a wound dressing where the pump includes a first sensor which operably senses negative pressure from the dressing, a second sensor which operably senses if a blockage is present at the dressing or tubing therefrom, and at least a third sensor which operably senses pressure associated with a charging chamber of the pump.
A TIP SEAL ARRANGEMENT FOR INJECTORS CONTAINING STEM CELLS
An injector arrangement which allows the fat tissue to be drawn through a suction tip, stored inside a tube without intervention or exposure to air and centrifuged obtain fat based stem cells. The arrangement includes a modular piston with a movable structure which allows drawing the fat tissue into the tube through the suction tip by a piston tip seal, a piston shaft with modular structure which allows the said modular piston to move inside the tube and which can be separated from the modular piston in order to allow the tube to be placed inside the present centrifuge device after the fat tissue is drawn inside the tube, and an O-ring which engages into the O-ring seat formed on the hollow locking part in order to make the hollow locking part introduced on the modular piston to act as a locking device during the centrifuge.
Portable pump for negative pressure wound therapy
A portable pump is provided for negative pressure wound therapy for drawing a vacuum from a wound site via a tube. The pump includes an inlet configured to attach the tube from the wound site; a canister in fluid communication with the inlet for collecting fluids drained from the wound site; and a manually-actuated pump mechanism for creating the vacuum. The pump mechanism includes a vacuum chamber in fluid communication with the canister; a piston disposed in the vacuum chamber; and a pump handle coupled to the piston to move the piston in the vacuum chamber between first and second positions to create the vacuum. The pump handle moving between a retracted position and an extended position. The piston is in the first position when said pump handle is in the retracted position and is in the second position when said pump handle is in the extended position.
Airway Assist Device
An airway assist device and methods of making and using an airway assist device to assist in opening an airway or removing fluid or material obstructing an airway of a subject.
