System and methods for designing and manufacturing bespoke protective sports equipment
A bespoke protective sports equipment to be worn by a player engaged in a sporting activity is provided. The bespoke sports equipment system includes methods for acquiring, storing and processing a player's unique data, namely the anatomical features of the body part against which the bespoke equipment is worn. The systems also includes methods of using the player's unique data to manufacture the bespoke protective equipment with a custom formed internal padding assembly that substantially corresponds to the player's unique data. The system and method allows for the design and manufacture of bespoke protective sports equipment that is purposely designed and manufactured to match the anatomical specifications of the player's body part.
HELMET MOUNT FOR STOWAGE AND ADJUSTMENT OF HMD
A helmet mounting for optical combiner (50) for a HMD has a pivoted mounting arm (60) for the optical combiner to be movable between an operational position in a line of sight, and a retracted position displaced out of the line of sight. A translation mechanism (100) provides translation of the optical combiner along the line of sight. A driving lever (30) causes the displacement of the mounting arm between the line of sight and the retracted position, and with a second motion of the lever, causes the translation of the optical combiner. By having the same lever coupled to both the mounting arm and the translation mechanism, the relatively complex combination of displacement and translation movements of the optical combiner can be reduced to a simpler movement, easier for a user such as a pilot to use even when under stress in a busy and cramped cockpit environment.
Pilot and Passenger Seat
The present invention achieves technical advantages as a pilot and passenger seating. An aircraft employs a pilot seat, comprising a contoured structure having ergonomically formed and padded surfaces, with left and right arm supports that include an articulated control knob, movable in three rectangular axes and rotatable about a vertical axis to provide one or more aircraft steering functions for an aircraft, and a touch-sensitive control surface for controlling one or more power system components. A passenger seat, having a contoured structure, having ergonomically formed and padded surfaces, a headrest, a seat, a left support member, and a right support member are adapted to cradle a portion of a passenger's body to support the passenger during travel.
ATTACHMENT SYSTEM
Attachment systems for releasably securing an accessory to an article, such as a helmet, are disclosed. In one embodiment, an attachment system (100) includes an attachment plate (102) that includes engaging features (108, 110) which engage corresponding engagement features on an attachment base (104). At least one of the engaging features (110) on the attachment plate is associated with a flexible member (112), and is movable between a locked configuration and an unlocked configuration via deformation of the flexible member. A pair of grips (114) are provided on opposing ends of the flexible member, and the grips are pressed toward one another to move the movable engaging feature between the locked and unlocked configurations.

Lens unit attachment mechanism
A good fitting sensation of a lens unit is obtained by performing fine adjustment of the position and angle of the lens unit. A lens unit attachment mechanism includes a frame member supporting a pair of lenses, side frame members extending rearward of the lenses from left and right end portions of the frame member, an angle adjustment member coupled to the lens unit and having two rotation pivot points, and a position adjustment retention member retaining the angle adjustment member so as to allow extending and retracting. The lens unit attachment mechanism adjusts the position and angle of the lens unit flexibly.

Condition Responsive Indication Assembly
A method for alerting a user of a first portable communications assembly that another user of a second portable communications assembly is within a predetermined distance includes the step of receiving a distance signal transmitted by the transmitter in the second portable communications assembly. A distance between the first and second portable communications assemblies based on the distance signal is calculated based on the strength of the distance signal or based on a time stamp embedded in the distance signal. An alert is emitted when the distance calculated between the first and second portable communications assemblies is less than the predetermined distance.
Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy Limiting Sports Helmet
A smart hard shell helmet for protection of head injury having a plurality of air filled inflatable bladders inside the shell, a valve on at least one bladder that responds to a controller, at least one flexible extendible strap extended from the bladder to a one point on the inside of the helmet, accelerometers operably connected to the helmet and wearer's head for sensing g force changes, pressure sensors in the bladders, an electrically actuated valve responsive to pressure and force measurement determined by the controller thresholds being met, and the valve exhausts a portion of the air in the bladder to the atmosphere extending the strap to the second state followed by the strap returning to the first state by drawing atmospheric air through the valve and re-inflating the bladder.
MULTI-THREAT PROTECTION COMPOSITE
A multi-threat protection composite containing at least 15 textile layers having an upper and lower surface and a non-blocking pressure sensitive adhesive (NonB-PSA) composition on at least the upper surface of each textile layer. The NonB-PSA coating contains a pressure sensitive adhesive and a plurality of first inorganic particles, wherein the ratio by weight of the first inorganic particles to the pressure sensitive adhesive is greater than about 1.2 and wherein the NonB-PSA coating is in an amount of at least about 10 g/m.sup.2 on each surface the NonB-PSA coating is located. The first inorganic particles have a median primary particle size of less than about 5 micrometers.
