At least one of the conductive shielding layer and the outer insulating layer includes a pair of diametrically opposed circumferential halves. Each circumferential half surrounds a part of a circumference of the inner insulating layer and extends longitudinally.
Cable shielding with metal foil
A cable assembly includes a plug receiver, a conductor interface, a metal shell encasing the conductor interface and a portion of a cable of the cable assembly, a metal foil that wraps conformably around an exterior of the metal shell, wherein the metal foil covers substantially all of the exterior of the metal shell and extends beyond the metal shell onto a cable shielding layer. The cable assembly further includes a solder layer disposed about the metal foil, wherein the solder layer bonds and electrically couples the first foil portion to itself, the second foil portion to cable shielding at the location on the plurality of conductors that is proximate to the conductor interface, and the third foil portion to the plug receiver. The cable assembly further includes an electrically insulating layer that encases the metal shell, the metal foil, and the solder layer.

The composite film for the cable wrapping layer includes a PE film layer, a PET film layer laminated at the PE film layer, an aluminum foil layer laminated at the PET film layer, and a bonding layer arranged between the PET film layer and the aluminum foil layer. The PE film layer is made of raw materials having the following parts by weight: 40-45 parts of LLDPE with a melt index of 0.9-1.1 g/10 min and a density of 0.920-0.922 g/cm.sup.3, 35-40 parts of m-LLDPE with a melt index of 1.9-2.1 g/10 min and a density of 0.917-0.920 g/cm.sup.3 and 15-25 parts of ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer.
METHOD OF MANUFACTURING ELECTRICAL CABLE, AND RESULTING PRODUCT, WITH REDUCED REQUIRED INSTALLATION PULLING FORCE
Disclosed are cable types, including a type THHN cable, the cable types having a reduced surface coefficient of friction, and the method of manufacture thereof, in which the central conductor core and insulating layer are surrounded by a material containing nylon or thermosetting resin. A silicone based pulling lubricant for said cable, or alternatively, erucamide or stearyl erucamide for small cable gauge wire, is incorporated, by alternate methods, with the resin material from which the outer sheath is extruded, and is effective to reduce the required pulling force between the formed cable and a conduit during installation.
Electric cable for a wind turbine and wind turbine
Provided is an electric cable for a wind turbine, wherein the electric cable includes at least one cooling element) to cool the electric cable, wherein the cooling element protrudes from the surface of the electric cable.
COVERED ELECTRIC WIRE AND WIRE HARNESS
A covered electric wire contains a conductor and an insulation covering which covers an outer surface of the conductor. The covered electric wire has a flat portion where a cross section of the conductor intersecting an axial direction of the covered electric wire has a flat shape which has a larger length in a width direction. The insulation covering contains, in the cross section of the flat portion, plane regions which contains, at the surface thereof: a width-directional region along the width direction; and a height-directional region intersecting the width direction. The insulation covering contains a region having a rounded shape having a radius at the junction between the width-directional region and the height-directional region, and the covered electric wire satisfies a relationship of R>t between the radius R and a thickness t of the insulation covering at the plane region. The wire harness contains the covered electric wire.
Cable with semi-conducting outermost layer
A cable includes a transmissive core; a jacket surrounding the transmissive core, which has at least an outermost polymeric layer; and an external semi-conductive layer around and in direct contact with the outermost polymeric layer of the jacket. The external semi-conductive layer is made of a composition comprising a base polymer material and an electrically conductive filler. The electrically conductive filler includes carbon nanotubes.
