FLAT HARNESS
A flat harness includes a plurality of flat circuit bodies that are stacked to each other. A mark is provided on a side surface of each of the plurality of flat circuit bodies. A position of the mark in a length direction of the flat circuit body is provided so as to be different for each type of the flat circuit body.
Twisted pair communication cables having limited colorant
Twisted pair communication cables that include reduced or minimal use of colorant may include a plurality of twisted pairs of individually insulated conductors, and the respective insulation formed around each conductor included in the plurality of twisted pairs may not be blended or compounded with any colorant. Physical indicia may be selectively formed on respective outer surfaces of the insulation of at least two of the plurality of twisted pairs. The physical indicia may include colorant that occupies less than 5.0% of a surface area of the insulation on which it is formed, and the physical indicia facilitate identification of the plurality of twisted pairs. A jacket may formed around the plurality of twisted pairs.
Traceable and Theft Deterrent Reclaimable Product
A theft deterrent product may be provided. First, a plurality of unique codes may be created. Then a plurality of indicia may be placed periodically and longitudinally on the product. The plurality of indicia may respectively correspond to the plurality of unique codes. The product may have an outer layer and into an portion. Placing the plurality of indicia may comprise etching through the outer layer and into the inner portion. In a database, the plurality of unique codes may be assigned to an organizational entity. The organizational entity may comprise a first enterprise.
Peelable cable jackets having designed microstructures and methods for making peelable cable jackets having designed microstructures
Coated conductors comprising a conductor and a peelable polymeric coating at least partially surrounding the conductor, where the peelable polymeric coating comprises from 1 to 8 microcapillaries which comprise a low-viscosity filler material. Also disclosed are methods for making such coated conductors.
Metal-clad multi-circuit electrical cable assembly
An electrical cable assembly, comprising a first electrical circuit further comprising a first plurality of insulated conductors longitudinally disposed to one another, wherein the first plurality of insulated conductors are cabled together in a bundle. The electrical cable assembly further comprises a second electrical circuit longitudinally disposed to the first electrical circuit, the second electrical circuit comprising a second plurality of insulated conductors longitudinally disposed to one another and cabled together in a bundle and a nonmetallic jacket surrounding the second plurality of insulated conductors and wherein the nonmetallic jacket isolating the first electrical circuit from the second electrical circuit. The electrical cable assembly further comprises a flexible interlocking metallic armor encasing the first and second electrical circuits.
Multi-member cable with improved mid-span access
A multi-member cable includes at least a first cable element and a second cable element. The first and second cable elements twist around a center axis of the cable in a counterclockwise direction multiple times to a first reversal point, then twist about the center axis of the cable in a clockwise direction multiple times until a second reversal point, with this pattern repeating along a length of the cable. Adhesion points are formed at intervals along a length of the cable to connect the first and second cable elements. The adhesion points may be spaced apart at an interval equal to a distance between the first and second reversal points. An outer surface of a jacket of the cable may include indications at the first and/or second reversal points, such as physical bumps or markings.
Metal-clad multi-circuit electrical cable assembly
An electrical cable assembly comprising a first electrical circuit comprising at least two insulated conductors, a second electrical circuit, and a conductive metallic armor encasing the first and second electrical circuits, wherein the conductive metallic armor provides a return ground path. The second electrical circuit comprising at least two control insulated conductors, a jacket surrounding the control insulated conductors, and a wrap surrounding the jacket which is surrounding the control insulated conductors.
Wiring member
A wiring member includes a wiring body and a pattern. The wiring body includes a plurality of wire-like transmission members and a base material. The plurality of wire-like transmission members are fixed to the base material in an aligned state, and the pattern is provided on the wiring body. The pattern makes a two-dimensional position of at least a part of a portion related to the base material recognizable in the wiring body.
Cable management system and method
A cable management system includes multiple cables, each having a unique identifier associated therewith and each including first and second barcodes including the unique identifier, the first barcode located proximate a first end of the cable, the second barcode located proximate a second end of the cable. The system also includes a barcode scanner to scan barcodes of the cables, the barcode scanner including a clip to receive one of the cables. The system also includes a mobile computing device having a processor, data storage medium, communication unit, and user interface including a display. The mobile computing device is configured to receive via the user interface first end location information for a first cable, receive from the barcode scanner the first barcode of the first cable, and save and display the first end location information in association with the unique identifier of the first cable included in the first barcode.
