TEMPERATURE SENSITIVE COLOR CHANGING ELECTRICAL DEVICE
20190323902 · 2019-10-24 ·

A thermochromic electrical device is made of thermochromic plastic material and has a visual indicator pre-printed with regular print or ink to allow visible warning of a scalding situation when the thermochromic plastic portion fades from its original color to leave the warning visible. The electric device may be any one of, for example, a cable tie, a cable connector, a terminal connector, a splice connector, and a cable jacket.

Cable Management System and Method

A cable management system includes multiple cables, each having a unique identifier associated therewith and each including first and second barcodes including the unique identifier, the first barcode located proximate a first end of the cable, the second barcode located proximate a second end of the cable. The system also includes a barcode scanner to scan barcodes of the cables, the barcode scanner includes a clip to receive one of the cables. The system also includes a mobile computing device having a processor, data storage medium, communication unit, and user interface including a display. The mobile computing device is configured to receive via the user interface first end location information for a first cable, receive from the barcode scanner the first barcode of the first cable, and save and display the first end location information in association with the unique identifier of the first cable included in the first barcode.

A lighting assembly is disclosed that is sold in a kit/package with a single, dual conductor wire that forms an electrical loop. Both free ends of a first conductor of the wire are connected to the same conductor socket and both free ends of a second conductor are connected to the other conductor socket. During installation, a contractor can simply cut with wire loop to provide a pre-wired light assembly that is ready to be daisy-chained to other light assemblies or electrical equipment.

Metal-clad multi-circuit electrical cable assembly

An electrical cable assembly, comprising a first electrical circuit further comprising a first plurality of insulated conductors longitudinally disposed to one another, wherein the first plurality of insulated conductors are cabled together in a bundle. The electrical cable assembly further comprises a second electrical circuit longitudinally disposed to the first electrical circuit, the second electrical circuit comprising a second plurality of insulated conductors longitudinally disposed to one another and cabled together in a bundle and a nonmetallic jacket surrounding the second plurality of insulated conductors and wherein the nonmetallic jacket isolating the first electrical circuit from the second electrical circuit. The electrical cable assembly further comprises a flexible interlocking metallic armor encasing the first and second electrical circuits.

VEHICLE WIRE HARNESS WITH VISUAL INDICATOR FOR EASE OF ASSEMBLY
20190176721 · 2019-06-13 ·

A wire harness of a vehicle includes a trunk including a plurality of wires that are bundled together. A first branch branches from the trunk at a location and includes a first subset of the plurality of wires. A first electrical connector is electrically connected to the wires of the first subset of the plurality of wires, respectively. A second branch branches from the trunk at the location and that includes a second subset of the plurality of wires. The wires of the second subset of the plurality of wires are different than the wires of the first subset of the plurality of wires. A second electrical connector is electrically connected to the wires of the second subset of the plurality of wires, respectively. A visual indicator is located directly on a predetermined one of the first and second branches.

WIRING HARNESS, VEHICLE COMPONENT, MOLD, MOLD SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE WIRING HARNESS

The invention relates to a wiring harness (1010), a motor vehicle component (1000), a mold (15) for manufacturing a wiring harness (1010), a mold system (10) and a method for manufacturing the wiring harness (1010), the wiring harness (1010) comprising at least one bunch (1020) of at least two cables (1025) and a sheath (1030), at least some sections of the bunch (1020) of cables being embedded in the sheath (1030).

Laser-markable cables and systems for making the same

Laser-markable cable layers for a cable are provided. The laser-markable cable layers include an inner layer formed of a first polymer material and an outer layer formed of a second polymer material and a laser-marking compound. The outer layer is about 0.5% to about 50% of the thickness of the inner layer. The laser-markable cable layers surround a wire or cable core. Methods of marking a cable having laser-markable cable layers are also provided.

Conductive path protection structure

A conductive path protection structure includes a first protector configured to accommodate a conductive path therein and to protect the conductive path, and a second protector configured to accommodate the first protector therein. An identification mark for identifying a specification of the conductive path is provided on a peripheral surface of the first protector. The second protector is formed with an opening configured to expose the identification mark therethrough to an outside of the second protector.
