Wound management

A method and apparatus are disclosed for delivering at least one agent to a wound site. The method includes the steps of providing a delivery tube having an outlet at a wound site, covering the wound site with a drape and introducing agent at an agent inlet port of the delivery tube. The agent passes along the delivery tube through the drape to the wound site. The agent can be a wide variety or mixture of fluids such as but not limited to pain relief medicament, anti-biotics, saline solution and/or hydrating fluid.

METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR CONTROLLING ASPIRATION FLOW RATE

Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide a surgical system comprising a pump motor configured to couple to a pump for pumping material through a probe, wherein the probe is connected to the pump through a connector. The surgical system also comprises a control module configured to determine a real-time flow rate through the probe and adjust a current pump rate of the pump to achieve a target flow rate, wherein the current pump rate is adjusted based on the real-time flow rate.

Surgical fluid management system

A fluid management system includes a disposable cassette carrying inflow and outflow tubing sections that are configured for releasably mating with a console including a control unit and a pair of roller pump heads. The console may automatically identify the disposable cassette and weigh the fluid in an inflow source. During operation, the system can monitor pressure in the working space, and provide for inflow and outflow control to maintain any desired operating parameters.

ANTI-REFLUX ENEMA BUCKET SYSTEM WITH PULLEY RESTRICTOR

Disclosed are various embodiments for an anti-reflux enema bucket system that is leakproof, easy to disassemble and clean, prevents reflux, has components that can be independently cleaned and sanitized, and controls a rate at which water is expelled from a nozzle outlet. In various embodiments, the enema bucket system includes an enema bucket having an opening at a top for filling the enema bucket with solution, a nozzle comprising a nozzle outlet, an anti-reflux coupler positioned between the enema bucket and the nozzle through which the solution passes from the enema bucket to the nozzle outlet; and tubing fluidly coupling the enema bucket, the anti-reflux coupler, and the nozzle. A pulley restrictor may selectively control a speed at which the solution is introduced into the nozzle and expelled from the nozzle outlet.

Irrigation devices, methods, and systems

Irrigation devices, methods, and systems are disclosed. The system comprises a catheter with one or more lumens and an expandable portion. One or more pumps are used to supply a mixture of contrasting and dilating agents in an interior kidney volume and flush a portion of the mixture out of the interior kidney volume. The method comprises placing a catheter into the interior kidney volume through a ureter, occluding a portion of the ureter with a distal end of the catheter, forming an exit port through an exterior kidney surface, flowing the contrasting and dilating agents through the one or more lumens to supply the mixture in the interior kidney volume, and flushing a portion of the mixture out of the exit port.

SUCTION IRRIGATOR

Disclosed is a suction irrigator, including a tri-lumen tube which includes a normal-pressure irrigation lumen, a high-pressure irrigation lumen and a suction lumen, a manifold connected to the tri-lumen tube, two flexible tubes, a control unit and a dual-drainage tube connected to the two flexible tubes, where the cross-sectional area of the suction lumen is larger than that of the normal-pressure irrigation lumen, and the cross-sectional area of the normal-pressure irrigation lumen is larger than that of the high-pressure irrigation lumen; and the normal-pressure irrigation lumen and the high-pressure irrigation lumen are connected to one of the flexible tubes and the suction lumen is connected to the other flexible tube by means of the manifold; and flow rates of gas or liquid in the two flexible tubes are controlled by the control unit. The suction irrigator has a good irrigation effect and is convenient to use.

Interventional catheter assemblies, control consoles and adaptive tubing cassettes

Interventional catheter assemblies, operating systems and adaptive interface components allow operation of a variety of interventional catheter assemblies, including infusion catheters, aspiration catheters and interventional catheters that provide both infusion and aspiration, using a common control console housing infusion and aspiration systems. Adaptive tubing cassettes having a handle and one or more preformed tubing loops route aspiration and/or infusion tubing in a predetermined configuration to mate with aspiration and infusion systems on a control console.

Integrated Pump Control For Dynamic Control Of Plasma Field
20200086132 · 2020-03-19 ·

A pump and pump controller which uses an algorithm to quickly achieve and maintain a stable plasma field in a surgical site are provided. The algorithm calculates an electrical characteristic value to determine if the suction rate by the pump should be increased or decreased to achieve a stable plasma field. A method of using such a pump and pump controller is also provided.

MICRO-DISPENSER BASED EAR TREATMENT
20200078509 · 2020-03-12 · ·

Technologies are generally described for treatment of ear canal through a micro-dispenser-based treatment system. In some examples, ear canal irrigating fluids may be dispensed in a controlled volume and pressure through one or more micro-dispensers to dissolve and remove ear wax in a gentle and safe manner without harming the eardrum. Through positioning of the micro-dispensers or nozzles of the micro-dispensers, the fluid may be aimed directly at specific areas within the ear canal with a high degree of precision. The micro-dispenser(s) and an optional imaging device such as a camera may be integrated with an otoscope or a cannula for manual manipulation as well as for aiming the fluid jet with visual assessment of cleaning effectiveness
