Disclosed are various embodiments for an anti-reflux enema bucket system that is leakproof, easy to disassemble and clean, prevents reflux, has components that can be independently cleaned and sanitized, and controls a rate at which water is expelled from a nozzle outlet. In various embodiments, the enema bucket system includes an enema bucket having an opening at a top for filling the enema bucket with solution, a nozzle comprising a nozzle outlet, an anti-reflux coupler positioned between the enema bucket and the nozzle through which the solution passes from the enema bucket to the nozzle outlet; and tubing fluidly coupling the enema bucket, the anti-reflux coupler, and the nozzle. A pulley restrictor may selectively control a speed at which the solution is introduced into the nozzle and expelled from the nozzle outlet.

Pre-alignment surgical cassette interface

A phacoemulsification surgical console, and a related system and method. The console, system and method may include a cassette receiver suitable for receiving a surgical cassette, a controller suitable for controlling provided aspects of the phacoemulsification; and a pre-alignment feature along a lower portion under and proximate to the cassette receiver, extending outwardly from the lower portion, and suitable for aligning the surgical cassette to the cassette receiver. The pre-alignment feature may comprise a shelf.

METHOD AND DEVICE FOR INTRAOPERATIVE DETERMINATION OF DRAG COEFFICIENT VALUES OF DIFFERENT MEDICAL INSTRUMENTS IN THE USE OF A MEDICAL FLUID PUMP

Subject matter of the present invention is a method for determining the resistance coefficients in particular of different combinations of shaft and endoscope when using a medical fluid pump, e.g. in the context of arthroscopy.

FLUID INFUSION SYSTEM
20200139045 · 2020-05-07 ·

A fluid infusion system includes an air pump connected to an accumulator tank to produce pressurized air that is stored in the accumulator tank. The system can include one or more fluid bag chambers wherein each fluid bag chamber includes an inflatable bladder positioned inside the fluid bag chamber to apply pressure on the fluid bag supported inside the chamber. The fluid bag can be connected by a tube set to deliver fluid from the fluid bag to a surgical tool at a surgical site. The fluid can, for example, be irrigation fluid or distention fluid. The system can include a controller connected to the pump to control the pump to produce the pressurized air and an adjustable pressure regulator can be connected between the accumulator tank and the inflatable bladder to control the pressure of air delivered to the inflatable bladder and the pressure that the fluid is delivered to the surgical tool. A pressure sensor can be connected between the adjustable pressure regulator and the inflatable bladder to measure the air pressure delivered to the inflatable bladder and send the air pressure measurements to the controller. The controller can configure the system display to show the air pressure measured by the pressure sensor.

METHOD FOR PREVENTING KINKED TUBING IN AN ARTHROSCOPIC IRRIGATION PUMP

An irrigation system having attachable anti-sliding features that prevent movement of the system along a surface. The irrigation system includes a console having a front panel with an inflow pump and an outflow pump. The front panel extends to a front edge of the console and the front edge is connected to a bottom side of the console. The attachable anti-sliding features include one or more feet attached to the bottom side of the console. Each foot has an L-shaped body having a first end and a second end with a first surface and an opposing second surface both extending between the first end and the second end. A protrusion extends from the second end of the body, forming the L-shape. The one or more feet are attached to the bottom side of the console such that the protrusion extends away from the console.

Ophthalmosurgical system

The invention is directed to an ophthalmosurgical system which includes a console for accommodating an irrigation fluid vessel containing irrigation fluid and a cassette, insertable into the console, for directing the irrigation fluid to a surgical instrument for an eye to be treated. An irrigation fluid flow path leads from the irrigation fluid vessel to the cassette and to the surgical instrument. A first fluid pump includes a first pump chamber having a first volume and a first drive chamber separated therefrom by a first elastic partition and having a second volume. A second fluid pump is arranged in parallel to the first fluid pump and includes a second pump chamber having a third volume and a second drive chamber separated therefrom by a second elastic partition and having a fourth volume. The first volume or the third volume has a magnitude within the range from 1 to 25 cm.sup.3.
