A helmet comprises a shell having a front portion, a rear portion, and a pair of lateral portions extending between the front portion and the rear portion. The shell is sized and configured to be placeable on the head of a user. The helmet additionally includes a chin strap having a pair of end portions and an intermediate portion located between the pair of end portions. The end portions are fixedly connected to respective ones of the pair of lateral portions of the shell so as to restrict movement of the end portions relative to the shell. The chin strap is flexible to facilitate placement of the chin strap around a chin of a user in connection with placement of the shell on the head of the user.

A helmet includes a helmet anchor mounted to the helmet, and the helmet anchor includes a cavity. The helmet also includes a first magnetic element, where at least a portion of the first magnetic element is mounted within the cavity. The helmet also includes a visor. An interior surface of the visor includes a receptacle that extends therefrom. A second magnetic element is mounted within the receptacle, and the receptacle on the visor mates with the cavity of the helmet anchor to secure the visor to the helmet. The first magnetic element and the second magnetic element are attracted to one another such that the visor is detachable in response to an impact that exceeds an attractive force between the first magnetic element and the second magnetic element.

A helmet includes a helmet anchor mounted to the helmet, and the helmet anchor includes a cavity. The helmet also includes a first magnetic element, where at least a portion of the first magnetic element is mounted within the cavity. The helmet also includes a visor. An interior surface of the visor includes a receptacle that extends therefrom. A second magnetic element is mounted within the receptacle, and the receptacle on the visor mates with the cavity of the helmet anchor to secure the visor to the helmet. The first magnetic element and the second magnetic element are attracted to one another such that the visor is detachable in response to an impact that exceeds an attractive force between the first magnetic element and the second magnetic element.

A helmet mount apparatus includes a track assembly and a sliding carriage assembly slidable coupled to the track assembly. A combined vertical adjustment and pivot assembly pivotally is coupled to the sliding carriage assembly, wherein the combined vertical adjustment and pivot assembly includes a bracket for attaching a viewing device.

A helmet includes a shell and a half chin bar releasably connected to the shell. The half chin bar is selectively connectable and disconnectable to and from the shell by means of an attachment device. The attachment device includes a coupling portion and a manual drive portion for the complete release of said coupling portion. The manual drive portion is accessible from the outside of the shell and/or the outside of the half chin bar.

The helmet according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a helmet body; a pad coupled to the inside of the helmet body, and a coupling member that separably couples the helmet body and the pad, wherein the coupling member may include a male coupling member disposed in one of either the inside of the helmet body or the pad, and a female coupling member disposed in the other of either the inside of the helmet body or the pad and into which the male coupling member is inserted and fixed, wherein the male coupling member has a first inclined surface at a portion inserted and fixed into the female coupling member, and the female coupling member has a second inclined surface corresponding to the first inclined surface, and when an external force is applied to the pad in a first direction so that the male coupling member is separated from the female coupling member in a state in which the male coupling member and the female coupling member are coupled, the first inclined surface moves along the second inclined surface, and the pad is separated from the helmet body.

A lift, a head support, and methods for use thereof for use with a surgical frame are provided. The lift and the head support can be used with the surgical frame that is capable of reconfiguration before, during, or after surgery. The surgical frame can include a main beam that can be rotated, raised/lowered, and tilted upwardly/downwardly to afford positioning and repositioning of a patient supported thereon, and the lift and the head support can be used in lifting the patient from a table/gurney and positioning the patient with respect to the main beam.

A lift, a head support, and methods for use thereof for use with a surgical frame are provided. The lift and the head support can be used with the surgical frame that is capable of reconfiguration before, during, or after surgery. The surgical frame can include a main beam that can be rotated, raised/lowered, and tilted upwardly/downwardly to afford positioning and repositioning of a patient supported thereon, and the lift and the head support can be used in lifting the patient from a table/gurney and positioning the patient with respect to the main beam.

A bicycle helmet that fits over a surface of a head of a user generally includes a segment of flexible cell structures that form a radial honeycomb matrix movable between a folded condition where each side of the segment is disposed generally parallel and an expanded use position where the radial honeycomb matrix of the segment is configured to be expanded at least partially over the head of the user and arranged radially relative to the surface of the head of the user. The bicycle helmet includes a first and second side frame disposed respectively at the first and second ends of the honeycomb matrix. A strap assembly offsets the radial honeycomb matrix away from the head of the user in the expanded use position.
