COAXIAL CABLE AND CABLE ASSEMBLY

A coaxial cable is composed of a conductor, an insulator covering a periphery of the conductor, a shield layer covering a periphery of the insulator, and a sheath covering a periphery of the shield layer. The shield layer is configured to include a lateral winding shielding portion with a plurality of metal wires being helically wrapped around the periphery of the insulator, and a batch plating portion made of a hot-dip plating covering respective peripheries of the lateral winding shielding portion. The shield layer includes a joining portion where the metal wires adjacent to each other in a circumferential direction are joined with each other with the batch plating portion at a spaced portion where the adjacent metal wires are spaced apart from each other, and the non-joining portion where the metal wires adjacent to each other in the circumferential direction are not joined with each other with the batch plating portion at the spaced portion. A length of the non-joining portion along a cable longitudinal direction is shorter than a winding pitch of the lateral winding shielding portion.

MULTILAYERED SUBSTRATE
20220028578 · 2022-01-27 ·

A multilayered substrate includes first, second, and third insulating layers, and a transmission line. The first insulating layer includes first and second surfaces opposite to each other. A signal conductor of the transmission line is on the first surface of the first insulating layer. The second insulating layer is in contact with the first surface of the first insulating layer. The third insulating layer is in contact with the second surface of the first insulating layer. A dielectric loss of the second insulating layer is lower than a dielectric loss of the third insulating layer. A degree of close contact between the first insulating layer and the third insulating layer is higher than a degree of close contact between the first insulating layer and the second insulating layer.

SHIELDED ELECTRICAL CABLE
20210225558 · 2021-07-22 ·

A shielded electrical cable includes conductor sets extending along a length of the cable and spaced apart from each other along a width of the cable. First and second shielding films are disposed on opposite sides of the cable and include cover portions and pinched portions arranged such that, in transverse cross section, the cover portions of the films in combination substantially surround each conductor set. An adhesive layer bonds the shielding films together in the pinched portions of the cable. A transverse bending of the cable at a cable location of no more than 180 degrees over an inner radius of at most 2 mm causes a cable impedance of the selected insulated conductor proximate the cable location to vary by no more than 2 percent from an initial cable impedance measured at the cable location in an unbent configuration.

ELECTRICAL CABLE WITH STRUCTURED DIELECTRIC

A cable is described, including a plurality of substantially parallel conductors extending along a length of the cable and generally lying in a plane of the conductors, and a dielectric film comprising a plurality of pairs of structures, and folded upon itself along a longitudinal fold line so that the structures in each pair of structures face, and are aligned with, each other, each conductor of the plurality of conductors disposed between the structures in a corresponding pair of structures.

Multicore cable

A multicore cable includes two-core parallel electric wires, wherein the two-core parallel electric wires each includes two conductors; an insulating layer that covers a periphery of the two conductors and having first and second flat portions and first and second semicircular portions; a first shield tape that covers a periphery of the insulating layer; a drain wire arranged inside the first shield tape; and a jacket that covers the first shield tape, wherein a cross-section of the insulating layer is an oval shape and has a groove at a portion at the first flat portion, wherein the drain wire is retained in the groove such that a portion of the drain wire protrudes toward the first shield tape with respect to the insulating layer, and wherein a twist pitch of twisting together the two-core parallel electric wires is shorter than 250 mm.
