A camera apparatus of the plurality of surgical devices is configured to capture image data depicting a surgical site. A system controller is configured to capture image data demonstrating the surgical site, identify a visibility metric of the image data, and determine a control setting for the surgical pump in response to visibility metric below a visibility threshold.

SURGICAL SYSTEMS AND CONTROL METHODS

A surgical control system is in communication with a plurality of surgical devices. In operation, the surgical devices broadcast device data including messages indicative of at least one of a control state and a detected condition associated with the operation of each of the plurality of surgical devices via a communication bus in communication with a plurality of device controllers of the plurality of surgical devices. Image data is captured demonstrating a surgical site and a surgery status is identified in response to the image data. Aggregate data is generated, including the surgery status and the device data, in a packet. The aggregate data is communicated over the communication bus.

Sterile surgical tray

A surgical apparatus for use by a surgeon can include a tray and a plurality of surgical instruments. The tray can have a plurality of structures located on an upper side of the tray for receiving the plurality of surgical instruments. The tray can receive a separate control unit. The tray can also have a fluid reservoir receiver for receiving a bottle or container of fluid, such as balanced salt solution. The fluid reservoir receiver can include one or more features, including, a spike, an air vent, and a light. A separate container can be used to place the bottle or container of fluid into the fluid reservoir receiver on the tray. This separate container can include a collapsible section.
