Various methods and devices for performing arthroscopic surgery are provided. In particular, methods and devices are provided for reshaping, unclogging, and vibrating tubing of an aspiration pump in a fluid management system. For example, a fluid management system is provided that includes a valve assembly disposed on a housing and configured to selectively pinch closed tubing disposed within a first pathway and a second pathway. The valve assembly is configured to bias tubing disposed within the first and second pathways to an open position after the tubing is pinched closed by the valve assembly. As another example, a fluid management system is provided that includes a vibratory mechanism coupled to a valve and configured to vibrate the valve so as to facilitate the flow of debris through tubing disposed within first and second tubing pathways.

STERILE SURGICAL TRAY

A sterile surgical tray includes structure for receiving a plurality of surgical instruments. The sterile surgical tray also may include electrical input and output connectors attached to tray.

COLON CLEANING DEVICES AND METHODS

A quick-fill lavage system that is used in a medical environment to prevent the contamination of wounds. The quick-fill lavage system comprises of a gun shaped body that houses a refillable reservoir. A suction ball that is used to refill the reservoir. A one-way valve is used to dispense a liquid from the refillable reservoir. The one-way valve uses a suction tube system to connect the refillable reservoir to pull the liquid from the refillable reservoir. A dispensing tube system attaches to an outlet section of the one-way valve. The dispensing tube removes the liquid from the quick-fill lavage system. A trigger system is used to open the one-way valve to dispense the liquid in a control and manual manner.

IRRIGATION SYSTEM FOR AN ULTRASONIC SURGICAL HANDPIECE

An ultrasonic surgical handpiece includes a motor having a transducer assembly along a central axis of the surgical handpiece. The motor is configured for operative connection to a power source. A surgical attachment has a proximal end detachably connected to the motor and a distal end defining a working plane for engagement with biological tissue. A housing has a housing distal end, a housing proximal end, and a cavity configured to receive the motor and the surgical attachment. An irrigation path of the housing is configured to communicate irrigation fluid. The irrigation path has an inlet proximate the housing proximal end operatively connected to an irrigation fluid source, and an outlet proximate to the working plane. The irrigation path is separated from the housing cavity to prevent contact between the irrigation fluid and an operational portion of the surgical attachment.

BUTTON VALVE FOR ENDOSCOPIC TUBE SET

Methods and systems providing fluid flow to an endoscope. A container and tube set configured to couple to an endoscope may comprise a first container configured to contain a fluid, a first water supply tube including a first lumen extending therethrough and in fluid communication with the first container, a branched connector positioned in line with the first water supply tube and including a first fluid inlet, a first fluid outlet, and a second fluid outlet, a second container having a second fluid inlet in selective fluid communication with the second fluid outlet of the branched connector, a flow control valve positioned to obstruct flow between the second fluid outlet of the branched connector and the second fluid inlet of the second container, and a second water supply tube including a second lumen extending therethrough and in selective fluid communication with the bottom portion of the second container.

Apparatus for negative-pressure therapy and irrigation

Systems, methods, and apparatuses for irrigating a tissue site are described. The system can include a tissue interface and a sealing member configured to be placed over the tissue site to form a sealed space, and a negative-pressure source fluidly coupled to the sealed space. The system includes an irrigation valve having a housing, a piston disposed in the housing, a fluid inlet to fluidly couple a fluid inlet chamber to a fluid source, and a fluid outlet to fluidly couple a fluid outlet chamber to the sealed space. A piston passage extends through the piston and fluidly couples the fluid inlet chamber and the fluid outlet chamber, and a biasing member is coupled to the piston to bias the irrigation valve to a closed position. The negative-pressure source is configured to move the piston between the closed position and an open position to draw fluid to the sealed space.

Synchronized automated bronchial lavage aspiration apparatus
12251530 · 2025-03-18 · ·

A synchronized automated bronchial lavage aspiration apparatus synchronizes with ventilator inspiration and expiration cycles to clear a patient's airway of stagnant secretion automatically. Synchronized and automatic instillation of saline prior to aspiration suppresses bacteria in the airway and suctioning during exhalation drains the airway of sputum.
