Electronic component for welding, mounted board and temperature sensor
The present invention enables the achievement of: high density mounting by means of an electronic component for welding; and improvement of thermal responsivity and tensile strength at high temperatures by means of reduction in size and thickness of a temperature sensor. An electronic component for welding, which has a function of a resistor, a capacitor, an inductor or the like, comprises: an insulating substrate; a function part and a bonding electrode part, which are provided on the insulating substrate; and a lead which is electrically connected to the bonding electrode part. The bonding electrode part is configured of: an adhesive active metal layer which is formed from a high-melting-point metal on the insulating substrate; a barrier layer which is formed from a high-melting-point metal on the active metal layer; and a bonding metal layer which is mainly composed of a low-melting-point metal and is formed on the barrier layer.
PPTC tank heater
A polymeric positive temperature coefficient (PPTC) tank heater features a first conductive region, a heater body, and a second conductive region, forming a sandwich. The first conductive region includes a first conductive surface connected to a first lead and a second conductive surface connected to a second lead. The heater body is a PPTC polymer matrix including a conductive filler and a semi-crystalline polymer. The sandwich includes multiple heating elements connected in series and each heating element supplies a different resistance.
MULTI-LAYER ELECTRICAL DEVICE
In some embodiments, a multi-layer electrical device can include multiple electrodes connected to respective terminals, with at least two selected terminals being configured to allow movement relative to each other to accommodate a change in separation distance of the respective electrodes resulting from a change in temperature, and to allow a solder to provide a connection therebetween when the multi-layer electrical device is soldered on a mounting surface. In some embodiments, the multi-layer electrical device can further include a layer having a temperature-dependent electrical property implemented between each neighboring pair of electrodes.
LOW RESISTANCE, HIGH VOLTAGE AND RESISTANCE STABLE PPTC MATERIAL AND MANUFACTURING
A novel polymer positive temperature coefficient (PPTC) material, device, and method of fabrication. The PPTC device may include a PPTC body; a first electrode disposed on a first surface of the PPTC body and a second electrode disposed on a second surface of the PPTC body, opposite the first electrode. The PPTC body may include a polymer matrix; and a conductive filler, disposed in the polymer matrix. The conductive filler may include a tungsten carbide component comprising at least 30 volume percent of the PPTC body; and a carbon component, wherein a total volume fraction of the conductive filler comprises between forty volume percent and sixty five volume percent of the PPTC body.
PTC starter
A PTC starter is provided. A first pin is electrically connected to a first electrode of a thermistor. The thermistor and an elastic element are arranged in respective mounting cavities. The elastic element is provided with a connecting piece, through which a second pin is electrically connected to or disconnected from a second electrode of the thermistor. In a normal state of the thermistor, the elastic element is in an elastic deformation state, a first contact part and a second contact part of the elastic element are in electrical contact with the second electrode of the thermistor and the second pin respectively. After the thermistor ruptures, the elastic element resets, which causes the connecting piece to move so that the second contact part of the elastic element detaches from the second pin. An isolation structure is provided between the thermistor mounting cavity and the elastic element mounting cavity.
HYBRID CIRCUIT PROTECTION DEVICE
A hybrid circuit protection device includes a positive temperature coefficient (PTC) component, a voltage-dependent resistor, a gas discharge tube (GDT), and first and second conductive leads that are respectively connected to the PTC component and the GDT. The voltage-dependent resistor and the PTC component are electrically connected in series, the GDT is electrically connected to the voltage-dependent resistor and the PTC component, and the GDT has a breakdown voltage greater than a varistor voltage of the voltage-dependent resistor as determined at 1 mA.
