PTC thermistor module

A PTC thermistor module for a temperature control device may include at least one PTC thermistor element. The PTC thermistor element may include an upper side and an underside facing away from the upper side. The upper side and on the underside may be respectively applied in a heat-exchanging manner with a heat-conducting plate. An edge side, connecting the upper side and the underside with one another in an edge-side manner, of at least one of the PTC thermistor elements, may be applied to a heat-conducting element, which has a thermal conductivity of at least 5 W/mK. A temperature control device may include at least one such PTC thermistor module.

A temperature-sensitive battery connector is disclosed. The connector can include a connector body and at least one conductor mounted to the connector body and configured to convey a current signal used to measure voltage from a battery pack or battery cell to a battery management system (BMS). The connector can include a thermal switching device mounted to the connector body and thermally coupled to a terminal of a battery pack or a battery cell. The thermal switching device can be configured to provide an overtemperature signal to the BMS by changing or interrupting a current conducted by at least one conductor when a temperature of the battery pack or battery cell exceeds a threshold temperature.

The assembly may further include a solder pad extending around an end of the protection component, the solder pad further extending over the first insulation layer and the second insulation layer.

An over-current protection device comprises first and second electrode layers and a PTC material layer laminated therebetween. The PTC material layer comprises a polymer, an electrically conductive filler and a metal compound filler. The PTC material layer comprises the polymer of 50-70% by volume, and the electrically conductive filler and the metal compound filler are distributed in the polymer. The metal compound filler has a particle size D50 of 2-15 m and 5-20% by volume and is selected from the group consisting of aluminum nitride, aluminum hydroxide, aluminum oxide, titanium oxide and zirconium oxide. The over-current protection device has a resistivity of 0.7-1.2 .Math.cm.

The laminated substrate comprises a first conductive layer, a second conductive layer and an insulating layer laminated between the first and second conductive layers. The first PTC material layer is disposed on the first conductive layer, and the second PTC material layer is disposed on the second conductive layer. The first metal layer is disposed on the first PTC material layer, and the second metal layer is disposed on the second PTC material layer. The insulating layer has a through hole filled with PTC material to form a PTC connecting member of which one end connects to the first PTC material layer and another end connects to the second PTC material layer.
