Sensor device
A sensor device includes a detection resistor having a resistance value changing according to a physical quantity and a reference resistor compared with the detection resistor, the reference resistor is configured by electrically connecting a first resistance circuit and a second resistance circuit. The first resistance circuit includes a first and a second resistive element having positive and negative resistance temperature coefficients, respectively, which are electrically connected. The second resistance circuit includes a third and a fourth resistive elements having a positive and a negative resistance temperature coefficient, respectively, which are electrically connected. The first resistance circuit is configured to generate a first deviation to either the positive or negative side with respect to a temperature change, and the second resistance circuit is configured to generate a second deviation to the side opposite to the positive or negative side where the first deviation is generated.

The electrode may be an electrode for solid-state batteries, wherein the electrode comprises an electrode active material layer, a current collector and a PTC resistor layer which is disposed between the electrode active material layer and the current collector and which is in contact with the electrode active material layer; wherein the PTC resistor layer contains an electroconductive material, an insulating inorganic substance and a polymer.

A resistance heater may include a polymer positive temperature coefficient (PPTC) material, arranged in a ring shape that defines a heater body; and an electrode assembly, comprising two or more electrodes arranged in contact with the heater body at two or more locations, wherein PPTC material comprises: a polymer matrix, the polymer matrix defining a PPTC body; and a conductive filler component, disposed in the polymer matrix.
Self-Limiting Heater
A self-limiting heater and method for building the self-limiting heater are disclosed. The self-limiting heater consists of a resistor and a PTC resistor coupled together in series with a power supply. Both resistive devices have good thermal coupling. The resistor has a minimal resistance change over changes in temperature while the resistance of the PTC resistor increases with an increase in temperature. The ohmic resistance ratio between the resistor and the PTC may be used to adjust the heater characteristics and limit the characteristic sharpness.
PPTC device having resistive component
A PPTC assembly may include a PPTC component, having a trip temperature, and further comprising a first temperature coefficient of resistance, in a low temperature range below the trip temperature. The PPTC assembly may include a resistive component, disposed in electrical contact with the PPTC component on a first side of the PPTC component, the resistive component comprising an electrical conductor, and having a second temperature coefficient of resistance in the low temperature range, less than the first temperature coefficient of resistance. The PPTC component may include a first electrode, electrically coupled to the first side of the PPTC component, and a second electrode, electrically coupled to the second side of the PPTC component, where the PPTC component and the resistive component are arranged in electrical series between the first electrode and the second electrode.
Composite circuit protection device
A composite circuit protection device includes a positive temperature coefficient (PTC) component, a voltage-dependent resistor (VDR), and first and second conductive leads respectively bonded to the PTC component and the VDR. The PTC component includes a PTC layer having two opposite PTC surfaces, and first and second electrode layers each having an electrode surface which connects to and has an area smaller than that of a respective one of the PTC surfaces. The VDR includes a VDR layer having two opposite resistor surfaces, and third and fourth electrode layers each having an electrode surface which connects to and has an area smaller than that of a respective one of the resistor surfaces.

PTC thermistor module
A PTC thermistor module for a temperature control device may include at least one PTC thermistor element. The PTC thermistor element may include an upper side and an underside facing away from the upper side. The upper side and on the underside may be respectively applied in a heat-exchanging manner with a heat-conducting plate. An edge side, connecting the upper side and the underside with one another in an edge-side manner, of at least one of the PTC thermistor elements, may be applied to a heat-conducting element, which has a thermal conductivity of at least 5 W/mK. A temperature control device may include at least one such PTC thermistor module.
