REMOTE FLASHING DURING INFUSION
20250211646 · 2025-06-26 ·

A medical device controller operating in conjunction with a medical device determines one or more current versions of executable code associated with one or more processors in a medical device. Medical devices may include infusion pumps, other patient treatment devices as well as vital signs monitors. The medical device controller determines one or more current versions of executable code and configuration information associated with the one or more processors in the medical device. The medical device controller further determines which of the processors in the medical device require updated executable code, and which of the processors in the medical device require updated configuration information. The medical device controller distributes to the medical device as required at least one of the updated executable code and the updated configuration information. The medical device deploys the distributed updates, and activates the updates at a clinically appropriate time.

A fluid delivery device comprises a fluid reservoir for containing medicament. The fluid reservoir is sealed proximate one end with a sliding seal piston. A delivery path is configured to fluidly couple the fluid reservoir and a patient wearing the fluid delivery device. A basal engine mechanism is configured to directly or indirectly move the sliding seal piston in the fluid reservoir at a controlled basal rate. A bolus mechanism configured to move the basal engine relative to the fluid reservoir and directly or indirectly move the sliding seal piston in the fluid reservoir a discrete bolus amount at a time.

Rack-pump charging prioritization in multi-pump assembly

The present disclosure provides a new and innovative method for dynamically managing power and charging rates of multi-pump assemblies. In various embodiments, a computer-implemented method includes monitoring a plurality of pump parameters for a plurality of infusion pumps, assessing a change in the parameter states, establishing charging needs for each infusion pump in the plurality of infusion pumps, and establishing a charging profile for each infusion pump in the plurality of infusion pumps.

Bolus delivery device

A bolus delivery device is provided that comprises a housing and a reservoir defined by an activation dome and a reservoir seat and disposed within the housing for receipt of a volume of a fluid. The bolus delivery device further comprises a bladder disposed in the housing that is in fluid communication with the reservoir for receipt of the fluid from the reservoir; an actuator; an inlet conduit in fluid communication with the reservoir for providing the fluid to the reservoir; and an outlet conduit in fluid communication with the bladder for providing the fluid to a patient. The actuator is in operative communication with the reservoir to initiate a flow of the fluid from the reservoir to the bladder. The bladder expands as the bladder receives the fluid and contracts as the bladder dispenses the fluid. An infusion assembly including a bolus delivery device also is provided.

INFUSION PUMP DRUG DIVERSION SECURITY SYSTEM

A system and apparatus for securing a pump are disclosed. The system includes a patient-controlled analgesia (PCA) pump, a security door, a security frame assembly, and a diversion guard. The PCA pump can be placed in the security frame assembly. The security door interlocks with the security frame assembly and pivots about it from an open configuration to a closed configuration. When the security door is in a closed configuration, the medicament-administering components of the PCA pump are out of reach from unauthorized users. As an additional physical barrier, the diversion guard selectively couples to the security frame assembly, such that it blocks a physical gap between the security door and security frame assembly when the security door is in a closed configuration.
