MAGNETIC FIXINGS AND CONNECTORS
20170301446 · 2017-10-19 ·

A mechanism for fixing together first and second parts and comprising first and second guides provided respectively in or attached to the first and second parts. The mechanism further comprises first and second magnetic components coupled respectively to the first and second guides such that the first magnetic component is rotatable with the first guide and the first part, and the second magnetic component cannot rotate relative to the second guide, the magnetic components being moveable axially and rotationally with respect to each other and having magnetic poles oriented such that rotation of said first magnetic component causes relative axial movement of the magnetic components between a locking position in which one of the magnetic components straddles the two guides and an unlocking position in which it does not straddle the two guides.

ELECTROMAGNETIC HOLDING MAGNET AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING, ELECTROMAGNETIC LOCKING ELEMENT AND USE OF THE SAME
20170287611 · 2017-10-05 ·

An electromagnetic holding magnet and a method for manufacturing the same, and an electromagnetic locking element that, that in a preferred embodiment, is a lock in a container of an oxygen emergency supply system of an aircraft. The electromagnetic holding magnet includes a yoke and a retaining plate interacting with the yoke as an anchor. At least one permanent magnet generates a magnetic retaining flux in the yoke that includes a first yoke leg and a second yoke leg as well as a middle pole. The middle pole is surrounded in sections by a magnetic coil. The first and second yoke legs are arranged symmetrically in relation to the middle pole and the magnetic coil.

Voltage-controlled magnetic devices

Voltage controlled magnetic components are described. The magnetic components include a thin layer of ferromagnet adjacent to an oxide layer. The magnetic properties of the ferromagnet may be controlled in a reversible manner via application of an external electric field and voltage-induced reversible oxidation of the ferromagnet.

Switch structure and electronic device employing same

A switch structure includes a power element, a keypad, a first magnetic component, and a second magnetic component. The second magnetic component is positioned adjacent to the first magnetic component. When the keypad is deactivated, a magnetic attractive force is generated between the first magnetic component and the second magnetic component. When the keypad is activated, the power element controls the first magnetic component to generate a magnetic repulsive force with the second magnetic component.
