20190167898 · 2019-06-06 ·

Provided is a medical pump for achieving continuous administration of a medicine by performing sequential driving with another medical pump. The medical pump includes: a pump driving unit for administering the medicine in accordance with a setting; a communication unit for performing communication between the other medical pump; a control unit for controlling individual driving of the pump driving unit and the communication unit; and an operation unit connected to the control unit. In a single administration period, the control unit judges a timing of starting cooperative administration of simultaneously driving the pump driving unit together with a pump driving unit of the other medical pump on the basis of the setting and on the basis of an input from the operation unit.

Dual-stage syringes for independent delivery of two or more fluids

In the present disclosure, embodiments of dual-stage syringes are disclosed along with delivery systems incorporating the dual-stage syringes. Embodiments of the dual-stage syringes described herein include sleeved dual-stage syringes, turn-key dual-stage syringes and dual-stage syringes including one or more one-way valves.

SYSTEMS, APPARATUS, AND METHODS FOR FLUID INFUSION

In some embodiments, a system can include a fluid delivery assembly and a drive assembly. The fluid delivery assembly is configured to be releasably mechanically and, optionally, electrically coupled to the drive assembly. When the fluid delivery assembly is releasably coupled to the drive assembly, the drive assembly can control delivery of fluid from the fluid delivery assembly (e.g., to a patient). For example, the drive assembly can be releasably coupled to the fluid delivery assembly to control delivery of fluid from the fluid delivery assembly to provide continuous (e.g., non-pulsatile) fluid flow from the fluid delivery assembly.

Intravenous tubing set modified for in-line catheter flushing

An intravenous tubing set is provided having a coupling component for accessing a source of flush solution; a flush chamber; a first IV tubing for delivering saline solution from the source of flush solution to the flush chamber; a first flow control device disposed in the tubing between the source of flush solution and the flush chamber to control the flow of flush solution into the flush chamber; a second IV tubing for delivering flush solution to a patient catheter; and a second flow control device disposed in the second tubing between the flush chamber and the patient catheter.

Solution Delivery Device and Method

The present specification discloses a solution delivery device having a container component and a plug component configured for selective engagement with the container component. The container component has an internal cavity including an elongated mixing channel containing a first constituent, and the plug component provides an internal flow path configured for introduction of a second constituent into the mixing channel for mixing with the first constituent. The plug component may be inserted within the container component partially in a first operational mode and fully in a second operational mode. The first constituent may be a drug and the second constituent a diluent, such that the drug may be lyophilized with the device in the first operational mode and reconstituted with the device in the second operational mode. Multiple devices may be employed in tandem for the co-delivery of multiple constituents. The device may be included in a kit or installed within an injector.

IMPLANTABLE SOLID-LIQUID DRUG DELIVERY APPARATUS, FORMULATIONS, AND METHODS OF USE

Embodiments provide apparatus and methods for delivering liquid form medication within the body wherein the medication is stored in solid form and then mixed with a liquid in an apparatus implanted within the body. One embodiment provides an implantable apparatus for in vivo delivery of medication comprising a housing including a reservoir, a store of solid form medication (SSM) and a pump. An SSM element is added to the reservoir along with fluid to form a medication solution comprising at least one drug. The medication solution is then delivered to a delivery site using a pumping means to pump solution from the reservoir through a delivery member such as catheter to a delivery site. Embodiments of the invention are particularly useful for delivering medication to a patient to treat a medical condition over an extended period of time without requiring the patient to take external medication.

SYSTEMS, METHODS AND COMPOSITIONS FOR IMPROVED TREATMENT OF ACIDOSIS

A system for treating an acidotic patient includes an intravenous-fluid supply system, an automated fluid mixer and dispenser connected to the intravenous-fluid supply system to receive at least one supply fluid therefrom, an electronic control system configured to communicate with the automated fluid mixer and dispenser, and an intravenous line fluidly connected to the automated fluid mixer and dispenser. The intravenous line includes an intravenous connecter configured for injecting intravenous fluid dispensed from the automated fluid mixer and dispenser intravenously into the acidotic patient. The electronic control system is configured to control at least one of a total volume or a flow rate of the intravenous fluid to be injected into the acidotic patient's blood based on at least a measured pH of the acidotic patient's blood and based on a composition of the at least on supply fluid. An intravenous solution for treating acidosis includes sodium bicarbonate and at least one of disodium carbonate, sodium hydroxide, and tris(hydroxymethyl)aminomethane dissolved in an aqueous solution. The intravenous solution has a pH of at least 10 and a total concentration of osmolites within a near isotonic range.

METHODS AND APPARATUSES FOR DELIVERING MEDICAMENTS TO INTRAVENOUS FLUID
